Hotel in Santa Barbara

I want to take a short trip to Santa Barbara for one night. Does anyone know if any decent hotels (like $200-220) in SB that dont have a minimum 2 night stay? That is all I can find (even B&Bs).

Don't stay in Santa Barbara! You can find a decent hotel in Oxnard 40 miles away for less than half that and no minimum stay. It's a great drive along the coast!

I'd rather not stay in Oxnard. I want to go up to Los Olivos for wine tasting one day, which is 45 minutes North of SB. Even hotels up there (Solvang, et al) are the same story.

I dont really mind staying in SB

40 miles is a bit of a hike if you are needing to be in SB for a day.

Don't get out much or just new to California? 40 miles is nothing, except at rush hour. 🙂

for a single day trip that 40 mile commute would more than likely waste nearly 2 hours of your day.

I do get out ALOT, trying to save a few bucks on a vacation by staying in what is more than likely a different zip code even is not how I want to enjoy my time off from commuting.

Staying 40 minutes away in Santa Maria would save you a few bucks. Staying in Santa Barbara would probably cost more.

well Im assuming you don't want to stay near UCSB or Goleta, but if you're ok with that, theres a Motel 6 and a Best western. Next to the freeway is an Extended Stay I think.
