I've seen this at best buy and it looks like a pretty slick monitor. Only a $50 MIR to mess with...
700:1 Contrast
DVI and RGB
Xshield glass
25ms response

Opinions?

looks like the $50 rebate expired in December, there is still a $30 MIR though

edit: my bad, thanks for pointing that out OP

Still contemplating whether to pick this monitor up...I like FPS games, but I've played HL2 on a 25ms monitor before and it didn't bother me that much.

I guess the question is...are 25ms LCD monitors born differently?

Kinda worried by this AT'ers post.

The 25ms phobia is largely bore of the first generation LCDs. Today some/most 25ms models perform on-par with the faster paneled displays simply due to better processing, which was a drawback of the early 25ms panels.

Xerox monitors are mfg by Proview. Proview

If you go to Microcenter.com and search for Proview you get Proview LCDs and Xerox LCDs

Search google for proview and xerox lcds and the first few hits show the collaboration.

It seems like a good deal since Microcenter is selling the XG71D for 349.00 and BB had it for 263 with a 50 rebate but its OOS online.
