It is a better price per gb, but there are 2 rebates. Also a $6 shipping charge for standard.
Then it is an EIDE not a SATA drive.
Warranty is also a puny 1 year.

Actually, you save $5 for the PATA version. The SATA drive has gone up in price since the SATA thread was started.
 
WD was smart to make a lot of these drives and price them to sell, they are nearly silent at idle, 3 year warranty, and the 300gb mark is becoming the new sweet spot capacity for hard drives
 
Nope after looking for a bit and then finaly calling them they gave me a Coupon code. 320gb code is V6TL-NJMAVQ $20.00 off the drive so that brings to $139.00 very nice!!
