The fountain valley, CA fry's has the 36" Wega with PIP for $1399. THIS IS NOT A REPOST. it's a diff model than the other wega deal. PM it or buy it at Good Guys for $1799 then show them the ad and an invoice from Fry's (cause the ad says "On Sale Now") and they should send you $800 worth of GC's which you can sell or whatever. Move fast, cause I think the ad expires by Tuesday.

I suppose this is a good second chance for people who missed out on the truly HOT first WEGA deal. Too bad my mom won't let me get in on my own deal (I'm only 18, ya know).

Gee, I thought 18 yrs old was an adult. I guess your mommy knows what's best for you though.

Well, yeah I just turned 18 and though I am technically an adult I think "pissed" would not be a strong enough word to describe how badly she would kill me if I went out and bought this TV. ARRG, fine, i'll say it, mommy knows best (this time...MUahHAH).

Hey I thought of 2 possible ways to spicen this deal up:

1. See if Best Buy or Circuit City carry this TV. If they do they should offer you 110% of the difference. See if they'll print you out an invoice with the new price (should be $40 less than Fry's). Then, depending on your Good Guys, they might allow you to do Double the Difference with only the invoice (no ad). Either way they should allow you to pricematch.

2. Do a Search of Fatwallet and Anandtech for WEGA then look for people that got their GC's from the other WEGA deal. Contact them and buy their GC's for cash. Good Guys told me GC's are transferrable so it should be ok and the owners would probably much rather have cash than GC's they are just gonna waste. I know this won't help all of you since only a few people got the other WEGA deal, but hey, maybe only a few of you will get this one, too.

Anyways, let me know how you guys do, I wanna hear success stories!

Anyone know how much they're selling the 32" Wega? It was in Friday's ad as on sale but they don't list the price.

no, I would be the one paying for it. But I don't have a job so it would mean spending pretty much all the money I have ever saved.

Anyone know if there's a goodguys in Houston?

Also, anyone know if the fry's here is open yet? I heard one was coming to town.

What model is this particular WEGA anyway?

hope it works for you guys tried it last time... the deal for "double the difference" in good guys is that they need a actual advertisement stating the price of the tv...rather than an invoice....guy at gg said they need to send the actual add to corporate in order to get the gc....hope it works in your area

Thanks RossMAN. Too bad for me though... no GG here.

Anyone know what other stores do this kind of thing?

I'm looking for something in the Houston area.
