THANKS DUDE! I just snapped one up. I'll run my 9800-NP with $hitty Infineon 3.3ns memory back over to BestBuy now. Price difference will only be + $15 (over an open box 9800-np i scored last week for $250 + tax). SWEET! cjoconn22 is my new best friend ;)

Beware buying refurb video cards from Newegg. It's a real crapshoot. Very few ever work properly.
Even if you return it for a refund, you're out shipping, and they might even try to charge you a restock fee.
I sometimes wonder if they bother even looking at the cards for visible damage before shipping them...
There's a reason why they warn you a hundred times that they are not responsible for refurb stuff, don't test it, and make no guarantees past a week... because they're selling half-broken junk and calling it refurb, hoping you won't notice.

Well we shall see. That would be odd. I have only had positive dealings with Newegg. And it seems to me that only system tweakers and hardware enthusiasts would be buying refurbished stuff from them in the first place, and hence would be more likely to scrutinize it for defects. God knows I'll have that thing under the microscope, overclocked and running 3dMark nonstop for 7 straight days before I decide to keep it...but I do that with every video card.

Most computer problems are user error, so you're more likely than not to get a good one.

I just got a refurb 9700 off them and it works fine, in fact it overclocks extremely well.

Woohoo! Got mine yesterday. Just plain card in a white box. Works like a charm. Haven't overclocked yet but 3dMark scores are 17,000 (2001SE) and 5,700 (2003). I am quite pleased. I have never been bleeding edge before this. Good deal. Thanks again.

Just to let you guys know I have had no success with newegg refurbs. I see more and more getting burned by these now. I tried a 9700, 9800, ic7-g, and 2.6c...none worked. I was not at fault with any of these products, I know what I am doing with computers, but I was just sent hardware that was probably ruined by someone not knowing what they were doing when oc'ing.
