I got in on this deal when they offered it last month. Ordered on 12/13..but didn't get my TV till this Wed (01/04). Partly because of the holiday rush (Tiger didn't ship out order till almost a week later), partly b/c the truck company (ABS Freight) couldn't find my shipment.
Yup, that's right--they completely lost my tracking num. I checked in before Xmas and they said it was still in IL. Told me to check after Xmas to setup delivery that week--but when I called they had no record of my tracking num. Tigerdirect wanted to run a trace before they did anything, but after arguing for a while they sent me another TV immediately, which took another week to arrive.
In the meantime, the original tracking num shows up, but says "waiting for pickup in IL". When they delivered the 2nd TV Wed they told me they'll show up 2-4PM, so I took off early from work, but the driver got delayed till 7:30PM. Also they said they wouldn't deliver it if it didn't fit inside the elevator for my condo. Luckily it did, but not the pallet jack, so I had to push it down the hallway from the elevator, and luckily I had a buddy from work to help. The 2nd shipment also didn't have the bundled DVD player and remote so I'm still working on Tiger for that...
Finally, the day after my TV arrived, the truck company calls to setup a delivery for the 1st (lost) shipment... was tempted to get that too and Ebay it =) (serves them right for the hassle!) but I had them send it back..
Probably should have known better than to order from Tiger, but they had the cheapest price I could find at the time (other than shady NYC camera stores).
Just so you know if you get on this deal! Also keep in mind (if you're not in a hurry) that new/cheaper models were announced this past week at CES! (new models arrive starting April)
