i just called and staples said they have wait til monday to call gogamer.com to verify they have the item in stock in order for the PM to go through.
On a side note, All the reps said that I had to place my order this weekend (and they'll put it on hold) because the promotion for gogamer.com is for this weekend only. I put one in the system anyways after 20 mins off calling...ah well we'll see how it turns out.

CSR just told me that I can't combine coupons with a pricematch! Why do I always get the CSR Nazis?

Available coupons and rebates will be deducted from the Staples price to come up with a net Staples price when calculating the price match. For example, if you buy an item from us for $100, and we offer a $20 rebate, the net price is $80. If the item is available from another company for $80 or more, there will be no price match. Another example would be if you buy an item from us for $159 and you have a $30 coupon the net price is $129. If the item is available from another company for $125, the price match will be for $4.40 (110% of the difference).

Since a few Staples Reps seem to think that GoGamer is in Canada, maybe you can talk them down even more...

I called back a 2nd time and still the same...wait till Monday for GoGamer verification. Now they will not accept the $15 off $30 coupon, the CSR said it was for IN STORE USE and NEW JERSEY shoppers ONLY!!! grrr :|

Hit 2 B&M stores today one was no good the 2nd gave it to me for matched it and DID NOT changes any shipping or staples sjipping etc. I tosed a back of $6 CD-RWs on there to let me use the $10 off $40 (which I needed anyway) I walked out the door $31 bucks total. I figured I made out almost as good as the others and for 30 bucks for a 60 game Im happy.

Just called and cancelled my "order on hold". I figured it this way, if Staples wants to wait till Monday to verify the product is in stock @ gogamer the game they are playing is that gogamer will get so many orders this weekend and they won't have addtional stock in Monday so Staples will have their out to not PM the deal.
So I'm taking the bird in the hand approach and ordering it from gogammer so I know I can save the $20 difference.

the reason why they wanna claim it's a Canadian store is because in their policy, Price Matches can only be done to webstores within USA. but as lots of proof already indicates, the store is infact located in CA.

Rose insisted to me that their 110% pricematch discount meant i was to get 100% of their price and a 10% discount of the competitors price a la 60$ - $1.90 and that that was indeed their 110% pricematch policy.
i argued with her for a solid 30 minutes, she wouldn't budge

i just got off the phone with her!! i said why is it called price match if im gettin it for $58 (10% instead of 110) and its $34.99 somewhere else? shes like oh thats how it is. she could barely speak english =(
hahahhaaa! funny stuff! that defeats the purpose of price matching, you should have asked them what benefits would a customer get if a store offered to price match their own prices, of course they would be able and willing to do it everytime. Call back as a different person and try again and ask them if they are new employees and just tell them to read out load, the policy at the staples website which gives an example of how a price match should work, but you should call again, hope to hear more funny stories.
I dunno but the CSR that did my* order told me I'll receive it Tuesday.. Keepin' my fingers crossed..!
