Same here; I just bough this for $20 more a couple days ago. Argh.

After trying vista on two computers I reinstalled XP Pro on both. I now have two retail versions sitting in a box and they will never be used by me.

I would not use Vista even if it was free. Hope windows 7 gets it right.

Welp, some info you guys may want to know about this promo.

You are only allowed to use this coupon if you subscribe to the Neweggs newsletter. I tried placing my order for it but it would not accept my coupon. I ended up calling Neweggs Customer Support (Nice people btw) and they told me that the only way for me to be able to use the coupon is if I got it emailed to me by Newegg.

I signed up for the newsletter today and it takes about 24hours for it to register on my account so I will try and use the coupon tomorrow and see if it works.

Even better news! I went ahead and tried it anyways after just signing up and it works! So FYI you have to sign up for their newsletter to get the promo but you don't need the email.

Good find, just got it for $99 last month. I'm liking vista x64 with SP1 of course. A lot of the suff I had already had drivers built in so no need to install web cam drivers, creative plus drivers, etc. I thought I'd never jump to a new OS till maybe Win 7 but Vista x64 is running good on my machine:beer:

I've had no problems at all with vista 32 on 2 laptops and my work computer, but I have vista 64 on a 2nd work computer and have had a few major driver issues. Dunno if all of those are fixed yet or not, but it was a royal pain finding drivers for my nic...

btw, isn't windows 7 going to be 64 bit only?
