hands down

The 2405 isnt even an 8-bit panel.
The 2005FPW is a better gaming panel than the 2405 unless you dont like 8-bit panels.

I personally wouldnt buy any panel that dithers. I wouldnt buy a non-widescreen panel either.

329.00 after 30.00 instant savings. Just ordered this for gaming. If your a serious gamer than this is the panel for you.

Awesome deal. I have a Dell 1905FP and I love it I just hate its 20ms response time. I think the 1907FP is great with all the nice features of height adjustable and built in USB hub but I love the response time on this Viewsonic. So many choices, why cant we just have it all in one Dell monitor.

What about the Samsung 204B which has a 5 ms response time and a default resolution of 1600 X 1200. I dont think it makes sense to pay HUNDREDS of dollars for a video card to then run your games at 1280 x 1024.
Newegg has 204B for $395 shipped and also has the Vx 924 which has 3 ms response for $255 after $40 rebate .

I have a 2405fpw and it's a great monitor but shouldn't be compared to a 19". That doesn't make any sense to me. My gripe with this beast is that to run it you need a top end videocard and to run it at high settings is pretty much impossible even with a SLI setup in games like oblivion. With that said there is no blur, no dead pixels, no backlight bleeding, and the features on this thing are amazing. I would recommend this thing if you're looking for a big wide screen monitor. I've compared it to a Benq 17" 8ms response time monitor just to see if I had ghosting but wasn't picking up on it since I was used to it, but didn't see any. YMMV and hopefully this 19" will rock your world like you say it will. If you're ultra sensitive to ghosting maybe that's the perfect monitor for you.

If you're a serious gamer that is so worried about response time and nothing else, then why would you even buy an LCD in the first place?

you just see so much more in games with widescreen

games nowadays are mostly supporting widescreen anyway...so i don't buy the stretchy graphics argument

even if games don't support widescreen...you can always run the game with black borders on the sides
