HOT!!! v60t/g for $135 w/o service plan or any MIRs

I just got back from CC and they price matched the $150 price for the Motorola v60(t or g) found in the 8/18 BB ad. This is a great deal for anyone not interested in signing up for a service plan or for people who want to use this phone with prepaid minutes.

I got the v60t which will work on both cingular and at&t networks for $135+ tax thanks to CC's 110% PM policy

The best part is, I didn't have to fuss w/ MIRs, and if i do end up wanting a service plan, I'll go back to CC and sign up there to get whatever rebates cingular or att are offering

Now I just need to figure out if I want Cingular or ATT.

That's a mega sweet phone and a molten lava price.

I've had a few cell phone providers and the one I'm most impressed with is Cingular.

Notice where it says 'Motorola Compact Digital Phone with Voice-Activated Dialing (v60t/v60g)'

So bring the ad to CC and they will PM 110% to the $150 advertised price.

FlamingPig, just bring the phone to any ATT store (or cingular if you want to use their prepaid plan) and they will activate the phone on their network. Then you can buy prepaid minutes and you'll be all set

I believe the V60t only works with AT&T and not Cingular.. This is because AT&T uses TDMA technology (hence "t") and Cingular uses GSM technology. The version that Cingular sells is called the V60 (no t included).

Verizon uses V60c, "c" stands for CDMA technology.

Cingular still does not have an all-GSM network yet. I know that in certain markets, including mine, Cingular is still TDMA. In fact Cingular sells the V60t online for my area. So, if you are planning on using the V60 with Cingular, just make sure that you check online to see whether your coverage area is going to be GSM or TDMA.

"without new service activation, add $200 to the price of the phone."

So you got very lucky if you got the phone for 135$

I have the v60t and uses it with cingular....Also paid $250 bucks for it
since bb doesn't do upgrades if your are already under contract.

let me tell you...THIS DOES WORK. At circuit city you don't even need to do in-store activation (activate as you please!)

I actually bought this for myself...had been planning to do this deal when I saw the Best Buy ad...

Great phone! Wireless web, voicemail, flip, REALLY SMALL, and a free belt holster!

how is this suppose to work when you're required to have your service plan activated when you buy a phone from CC unless you
pay an extra $200 w/o plan? the best buy ad even states that in fine print.

Umm...VITAL you are wrong. I work for CC...only ATT wireless is activated in store (where I work at), Cingular and SPCS are both activated AT HOME.

For some reason, pricematching cellphones is not allowed in the state of California for Best Buy... I'd assume it's the same for other electronics chains...

Great deal! I got it for $135 by taking in the BB flyer and having CC do the 110% pricematch, despite the fact that the BB price is supposed to be $350 if you aren't signing a contract. The only hassle was all of the waiting involved for the salesguy to call BB and verify that they had it in stock, then find his manager, etc. This is a really hot price for this phone that's regularly going for $250+ normally.

I got this phone from another deal, and I have to say...while it's a cool phone, it looks the same as the phones from Sprint and Qualcomm that are given away free with other services. I'm kind of disappointed.

Has anyone been able to print out the ad???? For some reason it won't let me print it? I want to try using this in NYC to see if CC will let me get the v60g. Also, anyone know if the phone is locked or can I just put a Voicestream SIM in it. If I can pull this off this is a smoking hot deal!!!!! You can turn around and ebay this thing for $300 bucks...

I just got back from two Circuit City's on Long Island and apparently they don't even sell Cingular product. They didn't even have the v60g for Voicestream there. Too bad Anyone else have any luck in NY? Maybe I will take a ride up to trumble CT.

I picked this phone up for $10 at celnet in the Massapequa Mall on Long Island. I had to get a one year contract though.
