I just picked up two of these at my local Wal-Mart for the same price a week ago. I am very happy with them. I kinda don't like the way ot hangs-up with the face out, but that's a minor gripe. (seems a little unstable in the charger is all)

For this price, nothing can beat it. I just ordered one to replace my old GE cordless phone whose battery is gonna die soon.

I agree but really what do you expect for $14.99?

The BEST 900MHz phones are Panasonic and the best prices are at your local CostCo or Sam's Club. I bought my Panasonic 900MHz cordless phone with headset for $69.99 from CostCo B&M a few years ago and it's been rock solid ever since. It even has dual keypad with speakerphone which is a nice feature.

Yea, panasonics do make good phones. I have a lot of Panasonics in my house and I have got to say none of them disappoints me. I only wish they would start putting NiMH batteries inside these phones instead of going with NiCd.

What's your budget?

Do you have a CostCo or Sam's Club near your house?

Mltsao - If you're a CostCo member you should have received a summer passport to savings coupon book. There's a nice offer in there for a Uniden 2.4GHz cordless phone with 2 handsets I believe for around $79. I don't have my coupon book near me to verify that right now, I'll do that later and provide you with a link to the full specs and picture. If you are a CostCo memberr but don't have your coupon book, just visit the member services counter and they'll give you another.

Although I love Panasonic cordless phones I would stay away from their 2.4GHz models. If you want 900 MHz analog or digital then get Panasonic (it's what I own).

If you want 2.4GHz (which may or may not interfere with WiFi) get Toshiba or Uniden, they make excellent phones. I just prefer Panasonic's track record of reliability, the handset has been durable, it doesn't look ugly, the newest 900MHz models are very functional offering caller ID on the handset, dual keypads, speakerphone, headset jack, etc. all for well under $100.

Just for the paranoid-minded folks out there: I picked up one of these phones a while back and one day I was listening to music on my 900mhz wireless earphones while someone was using the phone. Needless to say, there is no security on these phones.. I was listening to the whole phone conversation.

It was a very good phone and everything.. just no security. And for $15, you definitely get your moneys worth.

EDIT: So, I gave the Uniden to my grandmother and got myself a Siemens spread spectrum phone :)

I have heard both good and bad about Uniden. Heard they have good reception, especially the 900mhz. However, over time the buttons may fall off or other simple cosmetic damage may occur due to the quality of the phone. Not sure if this applies to all models. Anyway, I recommend Panasonic 900mhz over all phones from my research. No interference and very reliable (good looking too). I picked up a floor model on eBay for $22. It included a speakerphone and caller ID. Have not had one problem with it thus far. Just for everyones info.
