I really only had one movie that I wanted to get rid of (Lost In Space). So I dropped by Best Buy on the way, swung by the PC Games, and picked up a Warcraft 3 Strategy Savings Guide (I think that was the name, it's a coupon booklet). There is a $2 off DVD coupon in the guide. I grabbed Mad City ($5.99), used the coupon and paid $4.23 out the door. So then I headed over to EB, handed them Lost In Space and Mad City. They took them and I got my preorder for LOTR....pretty sweet deal!

I thought it was funny when they scanned in my DVDs... Mad City registered as $2 and Lost in Space as $3 😛

Thanks! This is a great deal!! I returned The Mask and Get Shorty. Both part of a promo when I got my DVD player. The manager of the store said I was the only one who had come in for the deal!!😀

I did it at the Melbourne store today... the add has the FULLSCREEN version listed. I hope we get a choice.

MJGunn, The Mask didn't even have a UPC, just a label saying PROMO NOT FOR RESALE. They still took it! But I had others that they said where not eligible. I believe they look them up by name on the computer.

Uhh...i think this is for any 2 dvds... ITS A HOT DEAL when i can get rid of crap movies in my collection like spawn and mortal kombat 2 for LOTR!

Well aside from my duplicate copies of the first EVA disc, I tend to only buy DVDs that I like and think are good, so consequently I don't have a lot I'd be willing to trade for less than I paid.

According to the thread that was linked to, EB is accepting promo DVD's. I have seen promo DVD's (with the UPC covered with "PROMO") for sale at EB. This deal looks hot... I'll finally be able to get rid of Stepmom and Six Days Seven Nights 😀

I'd think this would be the regular edition, coming out first. If you want the extended, special edition, collector's edition and so on, I'd think your best bet would be to wait it out. For the rest of us, this is a great way to rid ourselves of crap DVD's.

Allow me to make myself clear. One movie, for the price of two, is a bad deal!

Except in the case, that you can buy two movies for five dollars each, and trade those in. Then, it's a good deal.

Any suggestions as to which two five dollar movies are the ones to get?
