well...I don't know about the monkey thing...but yeah, that's a hot price...

almost too hot so soon...I wonder if it's a price mistake? every place else is still selling them for $260 to $300ish...

Brighthand didn't seem to care too much for this PDA. Basically slamming its design. It also mentioned that this version of Pocket PC 2003 is missing the Microsoft Reader, Terminal Services Client, and the new Pictures application. Even with that review I would still consider buying this PDA.
 

I just got the E355 from Amazon...it's nice. I had a E335 previously, so the extra speed (from the double bus speed) is noticable (but not 'incredible'). I like some of the small interface upgrades in the os, but again, nothing amazing.

In appearance, I was surprised that the metal is much darker...more 'gun metal gray' than the older silver. Otherwise it's the same. The display seems to have 'richer' colors than the E335, and the text seems smoother, no jaggies (compared with cleartype active on both of them).

Since I've now sold my E335 for $140, it was a nice little upgrade for $60. 🙂

I just checked and this deal is still active as of now.

Earlier this month I purchased a pocket PC phone from T-Mobile for $150 after a $100 credit and a free month of service credit.

I was shopping for a PDA phone and was considering switching after I received an AT&T preapproved wireless offer in the mail. I called AT&T and told them I was interested in a PDA phone of some type. They told me if I signed up for a certain number of years (I don't remember how many I think it was at least two)I would receive a Pocket PC phone for $150 (this included some type of mail in rebate) I didn't get more info. And I didn't want to commit to a multi year contract of any type.

I hung up and called T-Mobile. I've been with them for over 3 years. I was on their month to month contract plan (my 1 year agreement had expired long ago). I told them I was interested in canceling service and that AT&T had offered me their pocket PC for $150. The customer service rep seemed pretty cool and she said she would see if they could match that offer. Because I had been with them for 3 years they could apply a $100 credit to a new phone purchase and offer one month of free service based on my plan history (for me this was a $60 dollar value). She did a phone price match to the lowest after rebate price available at the time ($300 from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...-0720306-3024618?v=glance&s=wireless&n=507846 ) then she applied the discounts. Her manager had to approve the offer (I was on hold for about 15minutes) and I didn't have to sign a new contract. The phone was at my door 2 days later.

So if you are with T-Mobile and have been a customer for several years (I don't know what the magic year # is), and you aren't currently in a contract with them, you may be able to get them to match other wireless plans/ phones offered to you.

i cancelled and signed up with a new number to get a free phone.

spent 40 minutes looking the pocket pc phone over ...shame I can't hook a usb 2.0/1.1 harddrive to it and browse/play(wma,asf,avi,divx,mp3, etc) the contents while its in the cradle running on an ac adapter ..or can it..? ..
