I called my local BB and they have plenty in stock but CS can't change the delivery because they show none available even though I can order one for store pickup today on the website! Total B.S. I'll try again tommorow and see if it's fixed. Otherwise I think I'll just wait and make them pay for shipping too! :evil: :frown:

Yup, tried the same thing, they kept insisting that just because they have it in store, doesn't mean you can do an in-store pickup, because they're two different inventorys 😕 😕

Then I tried to explain how I could go on the website right now and place a new order for pickup, somehow the logic of that one escaped them. Supposed to be getting a call back from a supervisor, not holding my breath though.
 
On the phone with them right now and arguing about it. They're telling me it's BOed and that I have to wait. I told him I can order it right now and do instore pickup so that he's wrong. He pretty much told me theres nothing I can do. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me they don't have one there. I asked him whose in charge and he told me theres a supervisor but they don't take phone calls. The a-hole's name is J C (that's all he would give me for his name)
 
I guess I should have just bought it at Wal-Mart for $13.88 + Tax. Ohh well, I have waited this long to see it, I think I can wait another month.

Thank you...finally someone else echoes what I say all along. There are tons of people who always say you should ask to speak to a supervisor, but 99% of the time they won't transfer you. People always give me crap because I'm not being "forceful enough" but there is a point beyond which you CANNOT go without the cooperation of the person on the other end of the phone. There's no way you can transfer yourself to a supervisor. This is usually what I encounter. It's a shame that a place like this lets their trained monkies get away with it, but I guess that's just what the world has come to.
 
BB.com's customer support is worthless. They can't do anything. Just be glad there's not a problem.

I'll wait if it saves me from having to deal with the pickup-desk.

I remember last time I wanted to price match from Compusa. They just told me they didn't have access to the web. :disgust: I had to go to the Apple store and use their internet access and printers. It was worth it to save $17 from $30 though. 🙂

Maybe next time I'm at the mall and in BB, I'll see if I can pick it up.

Yeah you're right - I completely forgot how bad BB's customer care dept. is. I also talked to them once about an order that was cancelled without notifying me, and then went out of stock (all bc I moved and the credit card zip code they had was wrong). When I asked to talk to a supervisor they said that's absolutely impossible and they will not talk to customers. I went on arguing with the woman for a very long time about this.

Now I work at a PC helpdesk (only have to answer phones every once in a while though). If someone asks me to talk to a supervisor I would gladly transfer them. I cannot believe a company's policy is to refuse to let their customers talk to supervisors about problems. I actually feel like writing a letter to the BBB about this. Oh wait - I already did that! And guess what, the next day I received a call from a BestBuy.com customer care supervisor!!!!!!!
 
I got in on this deal. However, I received an e-mail stating:

Store Pickup
Please wait until you receive a Store Pickup Notification e-mail before going to the store.

I can go to my order history and see that it says "your item is available for pickup at the following store: _______"

Should I wait for this "Store Pickup Notification" e-mail or just print out my order and go to the store?
 
Mine claims it shipped today. The person I talked to said they can change it to in-store if the order isn't too far along in the process. Another person I talked to gave me the crap about two different inventories. They need to change this for DVD's, pre-orders especially. They can't compete with all the good companies out there who have your movie to you the day of release.
 
I called too and they said it's out of stock even though the website shows that the 3 stores in my area have matrix in stock. Plus, i'm an idiot, i ordered the full screen rather than the WS by mistake and i asked the guy if i can exchange it in the store IF i get this one in the mail and his answer was NO. what kind of bs is that? i'm just exchanging the exact same title, why won't BB let me do this?

I just bought the movie at the store and they had at least 100. Many of them had the bonus DVD with some stuff on it including the animatrix, Second Renaissance P2. I used the coupon on a videogame and bought it there because I didn't want to wait weeks to get it.
 
hmmm

I wonder if we can just go buy a copy for ourselves at the BB B&M and then return the one that gets shipped to us eventually - using the B&M receipt. Is that possible?
