Hi fellow anandtechers. It's my privledge to due my part in these hot deal forums as I have saved tons of money from all the hot deal posts from thoughtful members so here we go:


For those of you who shop Eddiebauer.com, you normally would not be able to use the "currentcodes" that are out there in the clearance section of the web site because when you click on the clearance "OUTLET" hyperlink, it takes you to that special seperate area of Eddiebauer. WELL, what they don't tell you and what many of you may not have found out is that you can order tha clearance item through the regular eddiebauer.com website if you know the item # and then use the coupon at checkout!

Yes folks.

1) go to eddiebauer.com
2) click on the OUTLET dept..
3) shop and write down the item #'s of the merchandise you want. Make sure you check availability of colors and so on first.
4) close that web page and open up eddiebauer.com again
5) enter item #'s in box at upper right hand corner of screen that says "Catalog quick order"
6) when through with shopping, go to checkout and enter coupon code on payment page where you enter your CC #
7) vouila!

bonk 102, use the 'catalog quick order', NOT the search window. (they are both in the upper right, so i can see how that would be where people might get misled.)

The first time I tried this I got a message saying that the promotion was not available at EddieBauerOutlet.com. I know I entered the item# at EddieBauer.com.

I tried again from another computer making sure that I never accessed the outlet site and it worked fine. Thanks, gman.

Just so you know, eddiebauer,com charges you full price for your purchase and then later credits back the coupon to your account with two billing cycles.

Yes that is correct, everyone who orders will see a charge for the clearance price of the merchandise, and then a $20 crdeit immediately below that on their statement. Anyone who had internet account access will see this credit long before you get your statement. The two billing cycles is hogwash because everytime I ordered anything from eddiebauer, It has been credited within two days of the charge.

Also, on a related note, I got the postcard with the 20% of at EB.com thing and also got a 20% off coupon for BM. If you get that, check out the EB clearance going on. I just got a $378.00 leather coat for $98.00 and picked up a second one that was originally $328.00 for the same price--VERY high quality. I had paid $120.00 but then went and price adjusted them. It was $378.00/$328.00 on sale for $199.00 with 40% off and then another 20% off.

So does the coupon code only works once per customer? Or will they bill you in full if you try to order from them again while trying to use the same code during your first purchase?

Cloudmog, There is no limit in their computer system that prohibits you from ordering using the same code more than once. In other words, their online database does not stop you from using the code a few times by the same customer. The charges will be for the full merchandise and then an immediate credit for the $20 for that Item, for each thing you purchase for how ever many times you use the code. I'm not saying use the code more than once, rather I am stating facts and it's up to the buyer if they want to use it more than once. I know lota of people who had the credit posted for individual orders with the code with no problem..so YMMV

Place the order from the phone in the store. There is a $3 handling charge but shipping is FREE to your home. You can still use the coupon code, specials, etc.

There is not a coupon to get the free shipping.
To get the free shipping, you must order from the phone inside the store.
That is how you get free shipping.
You can have it shipped to you home address.
Remember there is still a $3 handling charge.

You can do it that way but I do not think that They wouldhonor the coupon code for $20 off because it is on clearance merchandise. Ordering it over the website hits you up for $5 more but you are guaranteed the $20 off with my method. Just an FYI before all of you head over to the store just to save $5.
