Hot Swap ssd

At some point I will need to hot plug my ssd to erase it Do I unplug the data cable or the power cable or both THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

After you do the 'safely remove device' option so it can flush the cache, you then can disconnect it from your system.
How you disconnect it is up to you though. Most of the time, people just cut power to the drive.
