Summer's on the way... looking for some killer shades to get you through?
Pick up a pair of stylish Revos at MyBeautyCenter.com for $86.50 shipped!

These are the Revo 3003 Senior VP models with satin brown frames and brown polarized H2O lenses. They've got a lens coating system developed by NASA for their telescope optics and are truly hard to beat in terms of quality. They sell at many other online outlets for $160 - 220. By far the best price for these I've seen around.

While you're there, click on their Special Offers link and add a pair of cuticle nippers to your shopping cart for free.

Check out your favorite coupon site or search on google.com for "mybeautycenter coupons" for their $10 off $75 coupon and enter it at checkout to bring the price down to $86.50.

They have free shipping, so no problems there.

And finally, they have a deal right now where you get a free pair of Guess sunglasses with each order over $50! These aren't REALLY high quality sunglasses like the Revos, but they're stylish enough that my girlfriend is psyched to get 'em. They sell them for $13 a pair on the site.

So let's run it down...

$96.50 - Killer pair of Revo shades
$ 0.00 - Halfway decent pair of Guess shades
$ 0.00 - Cuticle nippers (Whatever they are. What the hell, they're free!)
-$10.00 - $10 off $75 Coupon
$ 0.00 - Free Shipping
------------
$86.50

Just got mine tonight and I'm psyched. They'll come in handy next week on my vacation to Hawaii!

A few caveats:

- 8.5% sales tax for New York residents

- The site says that you have to enter a code at checkout to get the free Guess sunglasses. I didn't enter one, as I was using the $10 off coupon and didn't know if it would take both. The Guess sunglasses came automatically anyway. YMMV

- I emailed them to update my billing info and they asked me where I got that $10 off $75 coupon, as it was about 12 months old. I kept quiet and it went through just fine. Again, YMMV.

This is my first contribution to the community, and I hope y'all enjoy it. Much thanks for all you've given me!

Good luck!

(Corrected the link. Sorry 'bout that!)

I have a pair of Revos... cost me $160 bucks or so. But it is definitely the best pair of sunglasses I have ever worn. Revos are unbelievable with their LMS (light management system) technology - it really works. You can wear them indoors and at night and they will adjust contrast accordingly. Don't know how, but it works.

As for these ones, I'm not sure if they actually have the coating on them... I think they are just H2O polarized. But I could be wrong.

To be honest, I don't even know how to find out, and I even own them! Have to do some research into the models or get some way to test them. All I know is that the world looks wonderful through these so far. Colors much richer and glare reduced to nil.

This description on another website (parkavenuesunglasses.com - selling the same glasses for $219.95) seems to indicate that they do have the coating system:

Revo coated, polarized lens technology with an array of our advanced, recreational sport frames to give you the only performance sunglasses that cuts up to 99% of polarized glare, with complete ultraviolet and infrared protection and contrast enhancement. Polarized glare is a particular kind of glare, found predominately on water. Revo H2O lenses were designed especially for boaters and fishermen who need to be able to see through the surface (polarized) glare on water. As the H2O lens incorporates our Classic coated lens technology with the ability to absorb shortwave blue light, it enhances vision even in fog and haze, making it ideal for the variable light conditions that boaters and fishermen encounter. The neutral H2O lens, with its coating on the back, offers the best performance for fishermen who desire a nonreflective surface and exceptional visual enhancement in all kinds of light.

Hope they have it, but hell, I haven't even seen daylight in these yet. I'll give a report once I've tested them out.

Sunglasses Report:
After spending the morning wearing these things around town, I just must say that revo's rock!
The lenses are brown H2O polarized lenses and they certainly have some kind of coating system on them because they punch up colors and block blue light like they're going out of style. Also, they have anti-reflective coatings on the inside of the lens so you don't get a bit of reflection from behind. Everywhere I look, a very selective hand seems to be choosing just the proper lightwaves for me to see. And the way they strike out glare is just amazing. Looking at the glare reflected off of the hood of a car is intense enough to make me squint without them... with them there is no glare at all. They really make it a pleasure to walk around and look at things!

The one caution that I can give is that these lenses are not ULTRA dark or reflective, so you still get a decent amount of light. Looking right up at the sun with these on, you still have to squint. Also, the rectangular lenses on these don't completely cover your entire field of view like other glasses with larger lenses. If you're looking for hard-core sunglasses that'll allow you to stare at the sun for hours, these ain't them. These seem to be great shades for everyday use, driving, beach and watersport use, etc.

All in all, I'm very happy having snagged these.

OUCH!
They just made it even hotter right after I got 'em!
They lowered the price of the Revo's to $89 a pair.
After the $10 off $75 coupon, that comes to $79!

Looks like they've still got the Guess sunglasses for free, but they changed the other free item from cuticle nippers to a chocolate flavored lipstick.

So now...

$89.00 - Killer pair of Revo shades
$ 0.00 - Acceptable pair of Guess shades
$ 0.00 - Coco Choco Lipstick
-$10.00 - $10 off $75 Coupon
$ 0.00 - Free Shipping
------------
$79.00

Definitely a steal!

That is a score. If I didn't already have 3 pairs of Revos I would be all over this deal.

I am still trying to resist... the Revo polarized lens kick butt.

These look pretty good and I would probably get them for sure if I didn't already have a pair of Clios. I was trying to do more research on these to see what other sites had to say about them. Can anyone point me to a good one? parkavenuesunglasses.com didn't seem to carry any revos. Thanks a lot.

These are women's shades, right? I'm a guy with a pretty wide face and don't want to buy these if the won't fit correctly.

Got mine within two days of my order. I live in NYC and their warehouse is on Long Island.
I don't think these guys are shady at all. Saw a couple of good reviews of them on resellerratings or epinions... forget which. Plus I got nothing but good service from them. Fast response on two emails (one to correct my billing info, one to get a tracking number).
As for the Yahoo wallet, I dodn't use it. Just put in my credit card info in the form blanks.

These aren't women's glasses, they're unisex. It's just a makeup site. They're pretty masculine glasses I think. I mean, I'm wearing them. They're just rectangular frames, kinda trendy these days.

As for the $10 off $75 coupon not working, they might have pulled it after a number of orders. I don't know. But even at $89 this is a good deal, as the links above attest.

Finally, though it hasn't been asked, I don't work for these guys... Just grabbed a good deal on some shades and thought I'd share.

Enjoy! I'm off to Hawaii tomorrow with my new shades!

Update

Looks like they disabled that $10 off coupon. :(

Still, a pair of polarized Revo's with a couple of freebies for $89 shipped is pretty damned good.

A hell of a lot better than those overpriced designer shades with unremarkable lenses.

If you're in the market for a quality pair of shades, give it a go.

DEAD.
I get the vague message "Note: Requested quantity not available for some items at this time."
I guess that means they are out of stock? Really sux. I have a pair of Revos, and while they are like 4 years old, and I dont like the *style* particularly, when I wear these I am shocked. The colors of everything around me are more vibrant. These actually improve your vision better than the naked human eye can do. I wanted another pair. Oh well :(

Damn!

Looks like AT killed their stock in a couple of days!

Well, I'm glad some folks got in on this!

Anybody else get the $10 off coupon before it died?

Has anyone got any comments on Oakleys? I'd seen them in Maxim magazine (my AnandTech $3 subscription...) and they look hot. Anyone wear these or have any experiences to share? Check out these Oakley X Metal Juliet shades. Man! Anybody seen my Countach???

Those look lame to be honest, unless you're at a nascar rally or something.

Anami,
I have those glasses. I bought them because I needed a good pair of wraparound shades for sports - mostly running and mountain biking. They're fantastic. Strong, light and comfortable. If you can handle the price tag, I think you'll like them.
The lenses are great, but they don't compare to my Revo's (I have a different pair than the ones in this thread). But my Revo's won't keep dirt out of my eyes on a mountain bike :)
