Free CDMA Springboard Module

Handspring currently has the Sprint PCS Wireless Web Digital Link Springboard available for free -- you pay only $8.50 shipping and handling, no other purchases necessary. This Springboard module (essentially an improved, CDMA version of the VisorPhone) turns your Visor into a cellular phone, and adds wireless modem capabilities as well.

Nevertheless, it?s certainly an inexpensive way to enter the world of wireless. If you currently have a Sprint PCS phone, you can transfer your existing account to the Wireless Web Digital Link. There?s a $34.95 activation fee for new accounts, in addition to your service plan.

Sounds like a good deal to me!:)

Is there any way to add this to an existing sprint account (without cancelling the existing phone service)? If so, how much will the additional charge be?

I got the PCS version. Looks like all it costs to add Wireless Web to an existing Free n Clear account is $5 month and the first 3 months are free! Also i don't seen anywhere on the website where there are any restrictions for amount of use, so it's probably unlimited. i have changed phones on the same account before, there is no change you just gotta call a customer service rep. very cool for basic surfing, e.bay aucions, AIM messaging, etc.

I was able to order two of these at 6:30pm on Tuesday, Oct. 15th. So, they must have restocked. Go get 'em, guys!

i also got my shipping notice. pretty quick.

awesome deal! these were selling for $250 new and ~$140 on e.bay just a few months ago.

it looks like you can do quite a bit with the Visor and Blazer browser. the PCS website said when you are surfing it does use your regular cell minutes.

Wow... they sent it to me overnight. It comes with the same battery as my GSM VisorPhone module (nice to have a spare) and a free headset. Not bad for $8.

Whoa, that was fast! When did you place your order? I placed mine yesterday with standard shipping and my order is still "awaiting shipment" from the warehouse. Hopefully, my order will go out today!

You can either move your existing Sprint PCS number to this device, or most plans will allow you to share minutes with a second line for an extra $10 per month.

I have an iPaq 3165, and have been using a Sprint N200 as a wireless modem. As luck would have it, I lost the phone a week ago and am COMPLETELY LOST.

As funds are tight, I jumped on this deal, and looking for a hot deal on an Edge or Prism, and eBay the iPaq. The best deals I can find seem to be the refirbs at Handspring.com.

Anyone have any suggestions?
