The rebate forms specifically say "Purchase select PNY at Staples only". There is no specific wording on in-store or on-line. Most of the other rebate forms say "Rebate applies to... purchased at Staples stores, Staples.com or Staples direct only."

Do you think purchasing online will disqualify the rebate?

You saw a rebate linked online where they offer the product, right? Unless they've drastically changed their policy, the rebate is for online orders too.
 
nice, got the scanner,z65 printer and 56modem after rebates will be 38.95, not a bad haul.
would have gotten more cdr's but I already have around 200, and it will take me nearly a year to use them, but they make a good filler item if you need to go over some for your rebates.
 
FWIW, I bit on the AT&T 2.4 GHz phone ($9.95 after $30 MIR) and it works really well. There's are no interference issues with my 802.11b network which was my main concern.

The free after MIR AT&T trimline phone is also a nice item. My kitchen has a vertical wall phone outlet but no power outlet nearby. Most phones today have a wall wart so finding a plain old vanilla phone is nice, especially when it's free.

Oddly I was able to order one but then later was notified that they were out of stock.
 
The Energizer UPS was sold out at my Staples and online, but today I noticed they have an APC 500VA for $40 - $30 MIR = $10 for this week. I wonder if this is a replacement for the Energizer? Once again my local store was sold out but I scored online.

Get Office Depot to pricematch the Maxtor HD after rebate since its a Staples Corp. rebate. $40something out the door for 40 Gigs isn't too shabby.
 
I purchased a package of those Optumum DVD+Rs and they seem decent enough so far. They are 2x and I haven't burned any coasters with my HP300i. All discs were compatible with all my late generation DVD players. Drawback with the media is that it has kind of a silk screen coating on top so there really isn't a proper place to write on top of these with a sharpie.
 
got the energizer backup today ... i did a selftest and my computer turned off/on and restarted. i dont think thats supposed to happen. its supposed to protect against stuff like that isnt it? i wonder if im doing anything wrong ... anyone else try theirs out?

was your computer plugged into the "battery" side?
I got one of the energizers too and it isn't labeled that well. But works just fine 😀

Was it fully charged? I vaguely recall something about 12 or 24 hours to charge... granted that may be from it's low-voltage-shutdown discharge state, but...

Also, it's a 200W peak capacity, right? If you're drawing over 200W, which is pretty easy to do with a modern system plus 17+" CRT monitor, you'll have to find another way to power the monitor.

I purchased the CenDyne CD-RW online, with the rebate accepted. Then I got a call from them telling me that they ran out of the item and it will not be reordered or substituted. So I ran to the local store, bought the CD-RW for the same price and of course am entitled to the rebate. The difference? On line they didn't charge sales tax or shipping...

200W capacity? what the heck. i thought it'd power a system and a monitor at least for a minute ... thats all i needed ... i think it "works" ... i tried unplugging it while it was running but my computer restarted. thats pretty annoying cuz its supposed to protect against that, no? i think i fried my network card too ... im using my housemates computer ... this is a little disappointing ...
