Thanks!

One question on the PC133. My math says $29.98 not $19.94 but since that puts it at nearly double the price of the PC2100 is the rebate amount wrong rather than the AR price? Also, are these on-line or B&M? TIA

PNY 256mb PC133 SDRAM $69.98 - $10 instant - $30 MIR = $19.94 (sku457395)

Thanks for the heads up.
I haven't bought anything from Staples for the past 6 months and this sale won't change that.
CompUSA used to have the best MIR sales, now it's OM, BB has occasional double rebates that make things very cheap combined with BVG. Staples just doesn't have too many deals for me lately.

What about the special price (NO REBATES) of $80 at best buy for western digital special edition 8 meg cache 120 gig drives that was last sunday? :)
I scored 2 drives on that price.

I noticed that monitor is going for $559 on their site right now - so it will just go down another $10 on Sunday? Or did you accidentally list the wrong price initially?

thanks!

FW thread

Most of the newer Cendyne 48X and 52X CDRW drives are NOT Lite-On. Cendyne is currently under bankruptcy protection and that may have something to do with their decision to swath OEMs from Lite-On. You can't exactly blame Lite-On since no OEM is going to continue to supply a vendor when they have not getting paid. As posted above as sure way to tell the difference is by looking at the model number on the box or the buffer underrun technology used. Unless you are able to find a local Staples B&M with old stock, the chances of getting a 52X Lite-On are slim. Another way to tell is that the older 52X CenDyne Lite-On drives are in shrink-wrapped retail packaging whereas the newer Cendyne 52X CDRW drives are not shrink-wrapped and simply have a security seal on the box. Cendyne is currently using two different OEM to supply their 52X CD-RW drives. The first is ASUS and the other is BenQ out of Taiwan.

Er, I just got a Cendyne 52x CD-RW last week from OfficeMax... It's a Lite-On. Cendyne stuck a Cendyne sticker on the case, right on top of the Lite-On sticker (I peeled off the Cendyne).

That Belkin router is very tempting. I'll have to overlook its ugliness though.

Must be very hot! I can't even look at it because I keep getting "Server too busy" errors.

Or just try again when the sale has started (May 18th-24th).

Cendyne 52x CD-RW rebate problems are being reported by those that got the LiteOn version last time. The rebate house was rejecting the drives with LiteOn serial numbers. Also, Cendyne is having some financial issues, so make sure you are doing a STAPLES rebate if you go for that item.

Same for me. I used to be in(on) Staples(.com) all the time but not much anymore.

Also, most of my rebates used to be Staples and I had very few problems. Now with a lot more CompUSA, BB, etc rebates, I've started to experience more rebate problems (i.e. denials that have to be corrected, etc.).

This is pretty hot from the staples ad:
Energizer 450VA UPS battery back-up
$49.98 - $10 instant savings - $30 mail-in rebate = $9.94 #503468

Never mind, someone already posted above.
