But i tried again 5 minutes ago and the mail CD thing is out of stock!!

Ok...big problem here on this deal. I just phoned staples about my order and was informed that to purchase the cartridge and use the coupon for it that you have to buy 2 of them. they told me they have charged my account for this additional charge because of this...without my permission! this is a separate charge for 7.99. i told them i did not authorize it. also, on the pricematch, they said they have changed their mind about the price difference because they (staples) have a $50 rebate coupon for the item (manufacturer coupon) on their site. since it's a manufacturer's rebate it can be used for a purchase of the viser at any location....and the moreaudiovideo.com site has a lower price for this item by $7. of course that same rebate can be used if purchased from them. also, if you are buying the pens they will charge you extra because you have to by 2 sets to use the coupon. so that won't work either. you better not go by the email confirmation on your order because mine doesn't say anything about all of this. just tells when it's shipped, the items, 2 packages, and total. i tried to cancel the order but they said they couldn't do it! i have to send it back! nothing was sent to me about them making a separate charge for the cartridge. you all better check to see what's going on with your orders because you may have multiple charges. staples really s*cks!....vroom
 
Looks pretty confusing but I just tried it and it's not gonna work cuz they ran out of the MyMailList CD. Darn it!
 
Just to let you know, there is no such thing as a $60 off $220 code, I called, they told me the code that you posed for $60 off $220 is really $30 off $200. Also, most of the codes that are $40 off $200, arnt even on the internet. So all those sites you see that post codes, staples wont honor them from sites like techbargins and sickdeals etc. etc...
 
xgamer, its people like you that got NeoV fired, be more carefull. we should be glad the mods arent meaner. i'm sure anandtech gets a lot of pressure(from companies) from the stuff that goes on in here.
 
Seriously, XGamer, how did you get to be a member at this site (whose purpose last time I checked was to help people save money) and then do a foolish thing like call Staples to alert them to the fact that we're using their own coupons to get bargains. It's true that that Staples uses various means to deliver coupons (snail mail, email, links from other sites...). However, alerting them to the fact that certain coupons, especially the higher-denomination ones, are plastered all over the net can only speed up how quickly these coupons get cancelled. Doesn't seem to be quite in the spirit of the whole money-saving idea. Calling CSRs concerning hot deals only serves to get the hot deal killed.

I don't like flaming, but I really enjoyed the ability of getting a cheap Palm IIIxe, and I want to protect this valuable resource for future generations. (Plus I'm at work, and I feel a bit grouchy).

if you have half a brain and read the posts before you pick up the phone you would figure out how this works...i already recived my palm delivered for $125...i chose not to order the ink cartrdige becuase of the earlier posts that staples was adding a 2nd ink cartridge to people's orders...i only ordered the palm 3xe & the my mail list crap cd

and people wonder why i was pissed when the details on amex blue got posted yesterday...it's people like this who f*ck up hot deals & get people fired

Too bad the coupon codes don't wory anymore. If only the first two were required, I could have combined this deal with the 753DF monitor which normally goes for $215. Take about $30 off for that because of the first two items, then another $30 for the coupon, that'd be $155 plus taxes, and there's still that $30 rebate going on it. Ah well.
 
Good God idiots. I didnt call to see if the codes worked, I called to order a plextor and when I gave them the codes, they need a reference site and the sites all the codes are on, do not work. The only code that worked was the one that says its $60 off $200, but that is acctuly only $30 off $200. You noobs start spamming and you dont even know what your talking about. Dont you all feel dumb now? Grow up kiddies. Know yer d*&n role(fletch and lizardboy).

this deal was great because you were able to add a $20 item to your cart and then a coupon for that item that subtracted $50 for a net $30 off...then you could combine this with a regular $20/$30/$40 off coupong for a grand total of $50/$60/$70 off

you are the idiot...and what's so funny is you are too dumb to understand why
