<< yeah, sony lowered the prices of most of their PDAs by $50 or so, retail that is.

The 615 is due out this month, hehe, not out yet. (color)
The 360 is due out February for $200, and is prolly what i will get. (monochrome)

Both models have 320x320 res with 16MB of memory.

--

and you can get a 128MB memory stick from buy.com for $61 (lexar)
>>

The 360 DOES NOT have a 320x320 color screen, BTW. It is the standard 160x160.

This IS a good deal. I thought I got a good deal when I paid $350 for mine when it 1st came out. Jump on it!!

Yeah, at that price, I'd be a fool to not get it...although I DID order a Palm m505 (refurbished) from Half.com for $238.00 shipped. I guess I'll have to egay the m505, considering I think I can appreciate a nicer screen...So yes, I am changing my mind...expandability, shmandability.

I jumped on this deal. Last one in the store, guy before me came with his wife and bought 2. I am extremely happy. Deliriously happy even. To think I almost put down 180 for that Casio WinCE thing.

<< But I am seriously thinking of getting a PocketPC once they become a bit smaller (probably in a year time frame); there are all kind of video game emulators you can find on PocketPC, including an almost perfect version of the TurboExpress (handheld Turbografx-16) system; the funny thing is that the Pocket PC itself is smaller than the actual TurboExpress! For now, the Sony Clie is my first choice (smaller than PocketPC's, beautiful screen, and affordable). >>

I jumped the gun and went ahead, switched from IBM Workpad C3 (black Palm Vx) to an Ipaq 3635 (a December hot deal @ $200 after MIR). At first the size bothered me, but now I really love the Ipaq. The additional functionality, vast choice of input choices (Graffitti, Letter Recognizer, Transcriber, etc), beautiful color screen, active writing area, autocomplete, etc. really made me forget about the Palm's smaller size! A color Palm cannot compare to PPC, IMO, and I have owned 7 Palms in the past. The Ipaq size is comparable to the Palm III series, but easier to hold since it's all rounded.

Picked one up and love it. The hi-res screen is sweet and better than my previous Prism (although not as bright). For those of you with any clie, you have to install msmount (available on palmgear.com for free). This utility allows you to store your larger databases on the memory stick and the palm app will run it from the stick, saving you valuable memory. I have Noah Lite and Websters dictionary on the stick, as well as the IMDB from the 1920's.

I think thats a HOT deal for a palm OS device, and thats coming from a pocket pc user. That is a fabulous price and I hope people cash in and get it. If you're going to buy a palm OS device then you have to get a sony. They seem to be the only ones that are satisfying everyone nowadays. (In fact, i believe sony is so good that I secretly I want them to fail in the palm market so they can jump into the ppc market and show off some more.) ;)

I'm going to buy a palm for the GF to use for vacation time. As much as i love my PPC for daily use, i get nervous when I'm on a trip and that battery meter starts falling below 30% and its only 6PM. So i'm waiting for a good price on the Sony 415.

Well folks, I just spent all morning driving around looking for this PDA...with no luck. All southern california Best Buy's, CompUSAs and Fry's are sold out.

BTW, Fry's has the 610 for the same price as CompUSA, so I think Sony has lowered their prices...not just CompUSA.

But again, good luck finding this puppy in stock...I'm going to try finding it online now, will try to Blue PM it.

<< what's the difference between 610 and 710? >>

built-in MP3 player on the 710. Optional on the 610 (via a $130 attachment).

I have the PEG-320 and love it! My bro-in-law has the 760 and it's nice, but it's not worth the extra $300 that he paid for it. OTOH.. I'm totally addicted to Bejewled and it's fabulous in color on the 760. Monochrome just doesn't seem to cut it in comparison. I'll be damned if I'm going to spend an extra $300 for a color PDA to play Bejeweled though. If I ever do, please put my sorry arse out of misery.. ;)

Bejeweled is really fun on the Clie, but Polotek, where do you expect to find one now? It seems to be sold out everywhere!

I've been really lucky on a lot of the deals that are posted in this forum. I was able to score the Sony firewire burner when they were OOS everywhere. I have a lot of time on my hands to go and search out CompUSAs in other towns.

I got this Clie before xmas for $300 after MIR, plus a free 32MB memory stick. Beautiful screen. Please please do yourself a favor and get a screen protector. This screen is easily scratched. The best screen protector is Brando in HK.

Yes, I did score one at the Springfield, NJ and Edison, NJ CompUSAs this past Sun. That's after checking about 3 before that (Totowa, Manhatten, Paramus). Good luck finding anymore. I got one for me and my gf.
