<< But I am seriously thinking of getting a PocketPC once they become a bit smaller (probably in a year time frame); there are all kind of video game emulators you can find on PocketPC, including an almost perfect version of the TurboExpress (handheld Turbografx-16) system; the funny thing is that the Pocket PC itself is smaller than the actual TurboExpress! For now, the Sony Clie is my first choice (smaller than PocketPC's, beautiful screen, and affordable). >>
I jumped the gun and went ahead, switched from IBM Workpad C3 (black Palm Vx) to an Ipaq 3635 (a December hot deal @ $200 after MIR). At first the size bothered me, but now I really love the Ipaq. The additional functionality, vast choice of input choices (Graffitti, Letter Recognizer, Transcriber, etc), beautiful color screen, active writing area, autocomplete, etc. really made me forget about the Palm's smaller size! A color Palm cannot compare to PPC, IMO, and I have owned 7 Palms in the past. The Ipaq size is comparable to the Palm III series, but easier to hold since it's all rounded.
