Foxconn NF4K8AB-RS PX6200TC 754 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX Motherboard with PX6200TC

$29.99 plus shipping (around $7)

You're basically getting the motherboard free for the cost of the video card, or the video card free. Whatever... if you have a socket 754 CPU laying around...

Heck, if you were just in the market for the lowest end PCI-E video card around, then get this and sell the motherboard. Newegg only has one 6200 for the same price, and all others are more expensive.

Wow. I've been using my old computer for a while now, with a AMD 3200+. I think I'll jump on this and overhaul my comp, cause I dont even have a PCI-e slot 🙁

Had a 1.6Hz Sempy lying around.....thanks OP! I wonder if this board will allow marginal OC'ing....(from the reviews it would seem not, but other NF4 boards I have had all did well)

Not quite... that's the same board but not the video card bundle.

skillyho, people have overclocked Nvidia chipsets on boards that weren't overclock friendly (or at all) using software from within Windows.

Pretty good upgrade for super-old system for mere $67. Add a 1GB of RAM for $20 or 2GB for $40, and you can have a decent office work upgrade for mere $100.

Probably a stupid question, but would I see any performance increase from my old Sempron 2200/9800 Pro that my son has been after me to upgrade?

Where are you finding 2GB DDR for $40?

Where are you finding 2GB DDR for $40?

My thoughts also. DDR 400 is double the price of DDR2. I thought about getting this for a budget build for my kid till I saw DDR400 ram prices. Now I am using the cost difference to see if I can get something better for the additional $20 to $25 added on to the budget for the ram difference. A link to 1 gig $20 DDR 400 ram and I will get this though.

Thanks, Zap, N41. I'm hoping my ATI Theater 550 board will work in this, since it conflicted with the NF3 system I built for the g/f's HTPC.

Oops, I was assuming the board was DDR2. It's neigh impossible to get DDR on cheap anymore. I guess you can hunt down some on FS/FT, but definitely not @ $20 for 1GB or $40 for 2GB.

You can get it pretty cheap if you're in the right place at the right time. (Isn't that the essence of a Hot Deal?) My boyfriend and I got lucky three or four months ago with some Kingston 512MB PC3200 modules from Circuit City. We got two modules for $47.99 each plus tax minus a $28.00 rebate, and two weeks later we got another pair for $42.99 each plus tax minus a $25.00 rebate. A week after that, they were on sale for $29.99 each plus tax (no rebate) and we got a low price guarantee on all four sticks. All four rebates arrived about six weeks later. The final price was about $24 for 2GB (plus gas money for three trips to Circuit City). The icing on the cake is that they were made with Samsung UCCC chips, which are good for overclocking. (I knew what to look for.) They're not 1GB sticks, but you can't have everything. There must have been a reason why Kingston was offering rebates like that, so maybe they will go on sale again sometime in the near future. Never say never. 🙂

Back on topic: thanks, OP. I needed something exactly like this for a Sempron 2800+ I've been wanting to put to good use.

This will work nicely for my windows home server. The epox board I had was acting flaky and only has 2 sata ports. This is perfect!

Y'all are welcome. 😀

Unlike the other bunch in another thread who complained that I was posting too many hot deals and thought I should "pool" my posts. :|

If anyone in this thread needs a socket 754 cpu let me know I am selling mine soon. It's a 3400+ Venice which is pretty hard to find. I am upgrading to pcie within the next month. Overclocks easy to 2.7 ghz although I've been running it at stock because I already sold my video card.

Tell that to all the other Hot Deals posters too... I'm hurting as well. 😱

Anybody got theirs yet? If so, how's the BIOS look? Any tweak-ability beyond the basics? VCore/VDimm adjustments? HTT?

Mine will be here tomorrow......

Mine arrived overnight. It was sitting on my doorstep when I got home. (UPS doesn't care if you're home or not!) But I live 40mi from NE. I may have time this weekend to play with it.

For those that may be interested...looks like the FSB/HTT adjustment is good via BIOS up until 275ish, so my 2800+ should do 2.2 on stock VCore easily (it did 2.4 on stock VCore back in the day). If I get everything together tomorrow night I'll post back with the highest FSB I can get after dropping the multi.

Thanks again Zap!
