**HOT** Siemens? Prototype Phone Testing Program

Siemens is trying out an interesting new way to get feedback on their prototype mobile phones, by giving out models to selected users, setting them up with a blog, and having them document their experiences. If you get selected in the program, you?ll get a free model of the same phone you have been sent for testing after it?s all done. It?s sort of like a public beta test, with the bug logs showing up in public. The plans even include leaving posts from the categories ?Bug,? ?Idea,? and ?Hack? on the product page, even after the phone has launched. This is available worldwide, not just in Europe.

You already have to have a siemens phone for this.
You can proceed in the application without filling out the phone info. How it affects your chances I can't say...

you'd think they'd WANT people who doesn't use their phones to be a tester. If the testers like their phones, they will most likely buy a new one when their current ones and/or tell their friends thats it's a nice phone and then they'll buy one ... at least, that would make sense

I signed up. I've been in the same type of program for other cell phone companies and also received a phone from them too. It's worth a shot.

is the rejection letter different from all the web registration stuff? is it a real letter or an email?

and maybe you have to have registered your previous siemens product to be eligble for this
