Ok found this the other night.

Bookshelf Stereo 2.0

scroll down the page and add one pack of batteried for $3.95 To get the 50% discount on the stereo.

Stereo = 199.95

50% off price = $99.98

Batteries = $3.95

So, do the math, seems like an excellent deal on a nice system!!!

I think the trick was they wanted you to buy something else, since everything on the site is expensive, but they also sell batteries, so it satisfies the requirement!

$15 off if you have an Amex Blue. $20 in tax and shipping kill the deal for me though...

It has some descent stats, I'll let you know how good it is when mine arrives. I think I spend like $127 total after tax and shipping. Not a bas deal overall though on a $200 unit.

Any idea who makes this stuff for sharper image?

My wife got me the $200 shower radio/cd/mp3 player and it is the nicest shower radio I have ever seen

Course for that price it better be!!!!!!

Would like to know the company to see if I can find that matching powered subwoofer (yes the shower radio has a subwoofer output) for cheaper than $99.

El Norm, does your shower radio have 6.1 surround sound? So you basically have speakers in the back of your shower? I'm a tech junkie, and would be interested in that set up. I can probably build my own water proof TV enclosure too!

PM me some details.

Thanks

Somebody doesn't seem to understand sarcasm:) Although 6.1 in the shower would maximize movie watching time (although you'd come out like a raisin).

When I get a house, I fully intend to install a large hot tub and some sort of HT in the master bathroom, and maybe a PC terminal.

They also have memory foam pillows at 50% off with any purchase, I got a pillow and the batteries.

There are coupons floating on the internet for 15% off if you register as a new customer, which I used, and for free shipping.

You guys are kidding right!
It's pretty interesting when I thought about it for hours last night. I drew up some plans, but they were too costy. And I would need to buy a small amp that will work under water. Or have the amp + video player located OUTSIDE the bathroom and use wireless technology to feed in the audio and have a small water proof LCD. But then I thought about the accustic of the bathroom and realize that the echo/boom in my bathroom due to the title walls and floors will total screw up any effect that the 6.1 gives.

for $200 i bought sherwood 6801 and KLH 5.1 surround speakers and an apex dvd player = excellent sound system with Home Theater effect when watch movies.

if the space is concern, then go with the compact stereo.

also if you have discovercard reward dollars you can double the reward dollar for sharper image purchase.

i spend $120 of my dollar on Red Lobster Giftcard = $240 food value.

I don't see why you can't have a closet or cabinet in the bathroom to house the amp and such.

I have no clue how to get myself off their damn mailing list. I had to give them my e-mail address when I ordered something. Their unsubscribe function does not function.

I've seen few bathrooms that don't have cabinets at the very least, and lots of them with closets, especially master bathrooms in houses built in the last 20 years. Even if your bathroom DOESN'T have a closet or cabinets, you could create one....
