"Thousands of people around the world have been brave enough to disobey orders to stand by their beliefs, even if it meant to be arrested. I call upon members of the US military to disobey their orders and not fight. Anti-war protestors being arrested on the streets for expressing their views are the true heroes. I hope you can find the courage to resist. If they are brave enough to risk arrest by disobeying the government, I think you can to. I do not support any man or woman who kills in my name. Show some courage and disobey. This war is wrong."
I truly hope you didn't send that. If you did, it just shows the amount of disrespect you have.
so shut your mouth fool. It's here for support.

Well what turned out to be a harmless, informative post for those who are interested in showing support for our troops has quickly been crapped to hell. It was a nice idea ubid, but I have a feeling this thread won't last much longer, which is unfortunate for those who actually could use some of the information in it![]()
I can't believe how naive some people are. Do you really think bush started that war to "liberate the poor, oppressed iraqis from that devil saddam"?Originally posted by: dannybek

To those who don't want war, answer this question with these thoughts in mind.
1 The gas attack against the Kurds.
2 The invasion against Kuwait.
3 Gaining power by killing political opponents.
How exactly will leaving Saddam in power, promote peace and justice in Iraq?

I did not mention Bush in my post nor does my post condone or condemn his actions. Simply I am talking about Saddam how ruthless he is, and if any peacenik doesn't see the atrocities Saddam has commited SURELY that person is naive. Please read carefully what I wrote before you post dp004i.
Looks like some of you are willing to sacrifice a few hundred thousand innocent civilian lives just so you can save a couple dollars when you fill up your gas tank. Shame on you people!
If we wanted their oil we would have taken it 12 years ago. We have plenty of our own oil in Alaska.I can't believe how naive some people are.
I suppose we should have just let Hitler take over all of Europe like he wanted to do and kill all those Jewish people.Let's see now...
1 The gas attack against the Kurds. - That's their internal affairs, why are you so worried about that?

I'd love to see what Bush would to a state that tries to declare independenceAlso, looks like somebody's forgetting who used to burn innocent civilians with napalm and atomic bombs not too long ago. 2 The invasion against Kuwait. - You mean the invasion of Kuwait? That he did, out of desperation to somehow rebuild the economy that was ruined by the 8 year war with Iran. Which, by the way, was sponsored by the US. Need I say more? 3 Gaining power by killing political opponents -well, at least his political opponents could count
Just so you know, I'm not supporting saddam, but you need to think about the whole issue, not just the things you hear on CNN. Your opinions are way too single-sided.

Edit: You know the French didn't want to keep Hitler in check before WWII, I suppose they want to be taken over by Iraq now so they can come crying to the British and the U.S.A. to regain their freedom AGAIN!!!
First off you dont know how many will be killed on either side.Secondly youll soon see many Iraqis thankful for being liberated from that madman. The end result will be that if any terroists get their hands on an atomic bomb,it wont be supplied by Saddam.I bet hes already supplied bio and chemical agents to terrorists. Its sad that as in any war some innnocents will die.Hopefully the possibility of world war will be avoided and the end result will be an Iraq where the people are free to choose someone as a leader who wont kill and torture his own countrymen as has been documented.Originally posted by: diablonhn
over 100,000 iraqis will get slaughtered by the US and Britain because???....for?????
I dont think Ive seen it put into percentages before but I know the outcome of the war would have been very different if not for their willingness (the American troops) to risk their lives (and pay with their lives in many cases) to see Hitler put down.It was a combined effort by necessity.Originally posted by: gtd 2000
