Ok I might be wrong about this, BUT, I walked into my local Best Buy here in Louisville, Kentucky. The 160gb Seagate everyone was talking about was $129 - $60 instant rebate which brought it to $69. $69 - $20 coupon brings it to $49. I just did this and the total came out to $52.99 total upfront. Now Seagate has the $40 MIR, NOT Best Buy which would bring it to $10 total. Now I might be wrong about this, but I see no reason why they would reject the rebate. If so, SMOKING HOT!!!!

Does anyone know if the BB rebate requires original receipt and/or UPC? I know the seagate ones says original receipt/upc. (but they'd probably accept a copy of the receipt just as well)

I dont see a $60 instant rebate anywhere. All I can find is 2 $40 MIR's, and a $10 IR. One MIR is BB and the other is Seagate. The BB rebate says all it needs is a copy so you can send in both. I guess this is just for your local best buy, YMMV as always.

Member soundforbjt reported the same pricing at a Tennessee store in the other thread about this drive. Great deal if your store has it for the $69.99 price and will take the coupon. It doesn't get much better than $10 AR!.

FYI
The first and last rebates listed by TheGoddessMichele are the same offer going to the same place in case anyone was thinking about using both of them.

Apparently, if you buy in-store at $69.99 the BB rebate doesn't print out and you can't use the online one for in-store purchases. In the past they definitely have rejected ones for that.

The $20 coupon has already been figured into the $10 price, so it wouldn't be -$10.

Did this just happen? If not, many people have used this coupon without a computer pruchase for two weeks now. See: Best Buy Printable In Store Coupon, valid through 9/10/05 and Seagate 160GB $20 AR/AC Best Buy .

Yeah they did, and even the cashier at my store said she read it, but the coupon still scanned and she still gave it to me, TWICE. So....It still works. Till Sept. 10. Unless you happen to have one of the crappy nazi BB's who have the COUPON TAPPED above the door saying they dont accept it.

Who's gonna use the BB rebate? I'm using the Seagate $40 rebate. They took the $20 off coupon and I'll get the drive for $9.99+tax on $49.99.
