Anyone know if this is a hot deal? Saw this in this weeks Best Buy circular.

They're offering SBC-Yahoo! DSL for $26.95 per month with free activation when you sign up for a 1 year contract. Also, Best Buy will also throw in a $100 gift card good for any in-store purchase, plus a free modem (after mail-in rebates).

Seems kinda hot to me. What do you guys think?

i have it and it's fast as hell. i did it about 6 months ago for my parents in la with the free wireless crap they were giving out. dominant!

It is a good deal. I used signup on Dell's site last November to get $75 rebate and it took a long time (4 months) to get it. The service is not very fast (slower than Optimum Online) but very reliable and price is very reasonable. Unlike Optimum Online it is possible to renew service at promotional price when 1 year cotract is over (Cablevision does not allow that). To get statistical sampling of users' reviews check http://www.dslreports.com

Probably not hot but definitely a good deal.

I'm sure this is a repost of some thread, since they've been doing the latest round of $27 internet for at least a couple months, and before that it was on for another few months. But its still a decent deal.
I like SBC's DSL.

HI All

I was gonna sign up for this deal this weekend but the customer service is so bad no one could answer my question. If you sign up in a store they give you a 100 dollar gift certificate. But, if you sign up online they had a special going though june 26 where u got an additional 75 dollar rebate on the modem. Its intentionally written kinda hazy. I cant figure out if both these deals are the same or if the online deal is better. Anyone clarify for slow guys like me??
