I don't like it.. I mean.. I would love it if it was higher resolution.. but 800x225? what can I do with that?

Yeah I don't mean to threadkill, but no way in hell I would ever consider this thing. Who wants to strap something on their face to watch tv?

"To be fair though if you want better resolution you'll have to pay more...a LOT LOT more...

The S700 is the highest rez one available afaik...but it stickers at $2600 (plus it's discontinued since nobody really had that kinda money)"

.... not necessarily, http://www.3dvisor.com has a unit, soon to be available, for under a grand. That is, if the company doesn't fold, as some have hinted toward. Interested parties are waiting for solid reviews though, as we have seen others come, and go, with big expectations that panned out. The new OLED displays should be worth the price though, in my estimation.

Apparently a number of people, as it is now sold out.

I've used one of the sony ones (a crappy one, not those $2500+ ones) and I'd think they'd have a purpose for portable dvd players, laptops, or something like it. The display seems much bigger when it's on then a notebook display or a 7" portable dvd player. It might be worth it if I traveled a lot but I don't.

Actually i use these at my Dentists office to watch movies while being worked on.

Kinda surreal when watching a horror movie while being drilled. Adds an interesting twist to the movie anyway.
