HOT! Samsung ML-1740 Laser Printer $49.95 AR

I got one of these from OD a few days ago for $24AR ($22AR/after ebates). It has a very easy to refill toner/drum cartridge.

ok, well i needed a new printer so for $39.95 +tax AR, which comes out to be about $50 after tax and free shipping, isn't too bad for a inkjet replacement.

not bad...amazon is running a deal too but for $63.63 w/rebates. Most of the reviews for this are good on amazon. Link. The toner cartridge that comes with the printer only lasts for about a 1000 pages compared to a new toner cartridge that lasts for about 3000 pages. Then you have to go out and spend around $70 for a new toner cartridge (which also includes the drum). This maybe expensive for some folks, but it all depends on how much you print. Most other laser printers sell the toner and drum seperately costing you over $100 even though you replace the toner more often than the drum. However, for me it sure beats buying $30 inkjet cartridges every few months.

You can pop a plastic plug off the cartridge and refill the toner for about $7 on this printer.

I'm still using the same "starter" toner cartridge on my 3 year old Lexmark E210 printer, which is also easy to refill. Each refill lasts a few reams of paper

On buy it was 70 dollars. But they usually last ~10,000 pages.

Nope. The ML-1710D3 prints around 3000 pages. That's what the number 3 after the D stands for. My starter cartridge for my 1210 was labeled MLK1210D1, for 1K pages. When I bought a toner cart at Fry's the new one was ML-1210D3.

I buy my refills on eBay for around 5.00 to 6.00 shipped for my 1210. The 1740's are the same or cheaper.

Here's link to toner carts.1740 toner

3packs for <18 shipped or 8 packs for 39 shipped.

I got one also, altho I had to pay local tax on top of that.

Haven't plugged it in though, am afraid I may not have the extra 250 watts left in my outlets for when it prints. 😱

I have one of these. It's really nice. Mine prints a bit light, so I take off the toner saver thing and set it to print dark. Like my Konica laser, it does make the lights flicker. It also looks nice.

If you chose the budget shipping it's free. It's 7-9 days or something but i'm not in a crazy rush for it so it's good.
