i went to comp not enough money on my card. any1 has an extra rio 500 to sell, pref non gay color ty.
no sure if made in malaysia = 10x, but from what i read it seems so. havent tried it.

Guys,

thanks.

After upgrading the firmware, the Rio recognizes the card, but I get an empty error message when I try to load a song onto the 64MB SmartMedia... can anyone help??

I ordered through phone and they gave me confirmation of shipment... but somehow didn't give me a tracking#.
so I called 2 days later and they said the order was incomplete!! FFFFFFKKKKK!!!
anyway, put another order in but now it's out of stock!! 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁
so I have to call back on monday... THIS IS PATHETIC!! I WANT MY MP3 PLAYER AND CDRW!! 🙁🙁🙁🙁 ::weep::

I just ordered one of these online, I'll stop by my B&M Best Buy and CompUSA to see if I can get another. I can easily sell these for a small profit.

But do you guys think if you did a little editing on the html from the printable receipt you could make it say you bought just the RIO 500 and send that in with the UPC?

You know what? I've been wondering about the ethics of using the $50 rebate on this deal, and it seems to me that the only condition the rebate states is to "Purchase a Rio PMP 500 (Color/model #) from January 1, 2001 to March 31, 2001." Also of note, "Diamond reserves the right to modify the specifications and terms or cancel the offer without prior notice."

Someone above also mentioned that this is deal is "not valid with any other offer" ... which is sort of an empty comment because the offer we are considering isn't specific enough to preclude this particular deal.

So my reasoning would be that the current terms of the rebate are clear: buy a Rio 500, get a $50 rebate. And Diamond (er, S3 ... sonicblue? whatever) can modify these terms to exclude the HP deal at any time.

How do you guys feel about this?
[Calador]

PS - There were around 7 left at the San Francisco store, and Emeryville told me 8.

Oh yeah ... post your opinions on the Rio, folks.

OK guys! Next deal for you...
A link to 64MB Smart media for $59 with free shipping! Now to find a better case for the 500.

Link to the media deal!!!

Hope this helps you folks out some... Now you get 128 MB of memory in a unit smaller than a pack of smokes that runs for 12 hours on a single battery!! Just to cool.

And to answer an earlier post... WMA is still not supported in the RIO 500. Wish they would update it soon though!

Just remember to use this additional Ram you must upgrade the firmware of the 500.

Anyone know a number to call to get ahold of whoever is in charge of the rebate? I tried the 1-800 # on the rebate form but it's just an automated number to check the status of your rebate.

i was wondering who had the copy of the recpet for purchase of rio500 ????

of does anyone have the recpeit for the hp 9150i ??

I would like a copy of both

please email me

hey urameatball, you can't order if they are out of stock even if the order does go thorugh. Same thing happen to me, its not working. HP has good customer service but very bad organization. I just ordered from compusa, looks like they are backordered on their shipments as well. May have to cancel that one and just get it from the actual store which has 3 left.

Is this package only sold at CompUSA, hpshopping, and Bestbuy? Because if Computers4Sure, Staples, or any other sites that have coupons sold it, we could pricematch and use a coupon.

Thanks in advance,
-Eddie

Freebee,
I just called back CompUSA on my order (which was out of stock at that time) and they said they are NO LONG SHIPPING the CDRW/MP3 packages... those were of limited quantity and there's no way they could get anymore from their suppliers.

SO I'M SCREWED!!! after maybe 10 days of searching, phoning, talking, I'm still at square one. this is pathetic!

i do have some for sale . But the best buy i went to they were $250 i thought that was a good deal so i bought 4 of them . If anyone wants one let me know

djkball As far as I know Best Buy B&Ms do a PM so Y don't u show them that everyone else in the world has them for 199.99 ??? Yes before I get flamed also I know that there were a few deals @ 149.00> In store deals @ NJ locations.

(someone correct me if I am wrong on the PM ???)

I got one forsale.

here is the deal:
$199.99 + 7% GA tax = $214 + $10 shipping + 2% paypal = ~ $228.48

I am asking $230 shipped

I am in a good mood 😛
PM me for fastest response.

if ya want just the mp3 player the 600 are like 99 bucks on some online stores. forgot the link do a search for them. i know the 600 does have new memory but both mem are insanly priced for the 500 and 600.

Is that memory good? Does the quality matter? Sounds cheap, but I would rather pay more if there is a big difference in quality. Thanks.

Hey if anyone REALLY wants one of these let me know. The local Compusa that I visited tonight had 10-15 of them sitting collecting dust. I'll charge what I pay plus Actual shipping.

So that'd be

$199.99 + $12.00 (6%tax) = $211.99 + shipping of your choice.

LMK, I don't think they are going anywhere. When I was there No one was even looking at them.

Rob
