Not trying to thread crap, but a quick search shows it's been as low as $76 a couple months ago.

$81 is the current lowest price, Amazon has it at $117, 'egg new is $129.

Also curious, where did you see that? Mind posting the link, searched here, H, and rage3d, seen nothing. Google shows nothing of the sorts either. I did find the old version the 56 series for $75? Did you search the right model?

So it's still not a bad deal.

I'd prefer the Dark Knight N66U one (the N900 rated Asus) for the external antennas. But at double the price essentially this is hard to pass up

I agree, the 66U obviously is a better router (comes with the price). But it's not like this has short range. MaxiumPC review shows it going as far as 100ft and still providing 20Mbs.

But the dual processors, USB 3.0 built in (and yes it provides 30watts to USB so can run drives off of it). It's a great deal.

I'm wondering if the refurbishment fixes the shielding issue on the usb controller that causes the interference with the wireless radio.

May I ask how this compares to the older generation Apple Airport Extrreme wireless routers?

Reports of the router dropping the connection with the usb 3.0 hard drive in use. Thats too bad.
