computer geeks has this monitor at a great price and shipping is not bad. specs are below. even though this is a refurb it is a great price. I have extra computer this looks great for that system. check it out at link

Ok I know I screwed up with the 22dpi don't know what I was thinking. Sorry but at least I included the specs which correct my mistakes. this is a good deal the refresh rate is 89 with 1280 x 1024 and on most monitors its 75 or less in fact most are rated at 60 so this is a good monitor.

Isn't .22 dot pitch pretty good? I think my Sony is .23mm, and most of my other monitors are .24 or .25

.22 is really good for a 19 inch monitor. Specs look good, anyone have experience with this monitor?

This monitor should be very sharp. I got the Cybervision 17", model C72, and it has been great for about 2 years now. Very sharp and good refresh rate. If I got it correctly, the manufacture should be the same as the Viewsonic. Only down side is refurbished and 90 days warranty.

Here is a cybervision site to check out the specs .. link
here is a site that rates it .. rate

and yes cybervision is made by viewsonic who also makes the optiquest. cybervision used to be in california not sure if they still are after being purchased by viewsonic.

do u think that reason that this is a refurb. is because of the 89 refresh rate @ 1024*768 its just a thought.

You might want to look up refresh rates as opposed to prices than compare all to find the best deal. 89 refresh rate is not at 1024 x 768 it is at 1,280x1,024. this is a pretty darn good refresh rate. normally when you get to 1600 it goes down to 60 and this one is still way above that.

89 hz is high, normally 75hz is considered flicker free. If this is a viewsonic then this is a good deal.

i use to work at a monitor place so the .22 dpi is a little deceptive, it should have read .22 (H) dpi meaning it is a horizontal dots per inch. It is usually measured diagonally and should be .28 dpi making this a mediocre monitor...but at $139.00 still a pretty decent deal. good luck. :)

i have this monitor - had it for a couple years now...
it's not too bad - i think it has pretty sharp colors and
hasn't strained my eyes too bad : ) it's a lot better
than the scratched up dell trinitron i got at a garage
sale for $30! : )

anyhow, i run mine at 1280x1024 @ 75Hz and it looks good...

misc crap -

it's had a little dot on the bottom forever (dead pixel?)
and i've just noticed another one off middle : (

i think i have the older model of the same monitor,
because mine looks a little different than the picture...

and i think they advertised this monitor as a .25 or .26
when i got it...

think that's all i know...
oh yea, i saw this monitor on clearance at some yahoo! store
last summer for $160 - was always hoping it would come down,
but i forgot all about it till now - of course i don't have that link
anymore, but they are probably gone by now anyway, huh? : )...

The best I could find out is that the real pitch is .26mm Diagonal Dot Pitch
Heck I went ahead and ordered one. we will see I guess..
