My math skills may "suck," but I'm not foolish enough to think this will work. Its obviously an error and CC has no legal obligation to sell the card for less than what's now posted on the web site. There might be an argument if the price were wrong -- and then only if the charged your credit card for the incorrect amount -- but there is more than enough language on the web site to insulate them from a mistake on rebates.

But, Perknose, with your obvious command of the English language, I am sure you can talk them into it. Just keep using poetic phrases like, "suck" and I am sure they will be putty in your hands.

Your basic math skills still suck. ;)

. . . But your logic is impeccable and your prediction about the outcome most likely correct. I'm still gonna' do my little dance with them in due time.

I'm going to return the goddamn thing. I drive to a store 45 minutes away to pick it up because I thought it was a deal, and they go and change the friggin' price AR. (I'm going to return it to a closer store). I wrote to CS, and they ignored the entire content of my message, and told me "here's rebate A for $20, here's rebate B for $20, so that means this marginal video card is yours for only $50 AR, have a nice day and we love all of our customers!".

I called CC this morning not having made up my mind as to what to do, but the guy who answered the phone made it easy. HE could barely speak English, so I just cancelled. I debated for a few mins on whether or not to buy it at $30 yesterday, so I decided 5$50 is not hot enough. Plus, the rebates are always a risk. They did inform me it would take 7-10 business day for a refund, which is funny b/c they got their money in less than 24 hours. Computers in credit card land work efficiently only when charging things it seems.

LOL. That's some pretty good .sig fodder there.

I would actually be careful with this card, as it is a "BBA" model, and apparently, unlike the 3rd-party R9200 cards, or ATI's own other Radeon-based models, this one may not have all of the outputs. Check carefully, if this one doesn't have DVI-I/VGA/TV-out (all three!), then you might want to reconsider. You can get 3rd-party R9200 models (some with VIVO even) for a similar price.

For example, I found this in the CC user-review comments:
Radeon 9200 Solid Video
Reviewer: JJV from Flint, MI on Thu Dec 11 10:25:44 EST 2003
26 out of 30 found this review helpful

This is an excellent value video card for people who want DirectX 9 support. The only downside to the card is that it does not have a DVI output - Don't buy this card if you have or plan to purchase a Flat Panel LCD monitor. A SVGA output is present on this monitor, allowing hook-up to a TV Dual-display (with a TV - not 2 monitors) is also supported. If you want to have dual display, would recommend purchasing a card with both VGA and DVI outputs, like the Radeon 9600 (would recommend against the 9600 SE card, though its bandwidth is only HALF of the standard 9600 card).
Caveat Emptor. (I bought my FIC-brand 64MB R9200 128-bit AGP 8x card at Microcenter last year for $40 OTD, and it did have all three outputs.) Oh, and the reviewer is possibly confused due to the naming - this is a DX8.1 card in hardware, but is DX9.x-runtime-compatible. It has similar rendering performance to an FX5200 128-bit card, but less-powerful geometry processing. However, the display output quality is generally much better; the TV-out is excellent on the R9200. Another comment on video-playback quality, which I agree with:
The sound and Video quality is fantastic much better then the Nividia card it replaced. It does a fantastic job with the DIVX format. I have Princess Mononoki, Vampire Hunter 'D', Ninja Scroll, etc all in the Divx format. It is like I have never watched them before.
As for the Mpeg formats absolute first rate. The clarity, smoothness, and resolution are real eye candy.

This card is much better than the radeon 9250 and fx5200 cards you see Compusa have on sale for $29.99AR since it has 128 BIT memory and not performance choking 64bit.

out of stock online so select in-store pickup.

LINK

BTW, this card is not really any faster than a FX5200. Tomshardware "VGA charts" show that they're about the same.

The card in toms charts has a 128bit memory bus. This card SMOKES fx5200 cards with a 64bit memory bus. Most fx5200 cards out there are crippled 64bit.

Over 11 thousand posts and you still dont understand videocards????

Not to be a downer, but there are plenty of R9200 cards out there with a 64-bit bus as well. (As are R9600 SE, and R9550 models too, you have to check and be careful.) Most "FX5200 Ultra" cards have 128-bit memory. Realistically, this card is no faster than an (128-bit) FX5200 in 3D, although the quality of the TV-out is better, IMO.

I understand video cards fine. You OTOH, your stipulations are about as retarded as saying a mustang with drag radials will beat a camaro with bicycle tires.
