Or you can just install Windows in MBR mode instead. I had to do this with my $300+ SAPPHIRE HD 7970 3GB Vapor-X Edition.I actually have a MSI version of this card and tried putting it in the Asus PC that was posted on here awhile ago.
Wouldn't boot; says the card isn't UEFI compatible.
I need to flash the card's BIOS to a UEFI compatible version. I found a user made version that I'm going to try; fully expecting to end up with a paper weight, but we'll see if it works.
Anyways, be wary of buying legacy hardware if you have a newer motherboard.

This card has 1400 stream processors, 256 bit memory bus, and 32 ROPs. By all rights it should be as good as an R9270X. Why the heck would they stop supporting it. As a general rule of thumb, cards should be supported until they are no longer faster than the fastest IGP or the lowest tier card on the current lineup.
