I called staples.com again, and they are out of the intel pc camera pro packs as well as the logitech quickcam pro

They aren't expecting any back in stock for a couple of weeks.

So that pretty much shoots the intel rebate out of the water.

For anyone that bought this camera, do NOT use the QuickCam Pro 4.1.1 drivers that ships with it. I just received the camera today and 4.1.1 blows chunks. I happen to have QuickCam 5.2 that came with a QuickCam Express I bought last month and that version is MUCH faster, easier, and more intuitive. I would think you can get it at their website but haven't looked.

Flenn: You got yours from JustDeals.com? What was the condition of the unit?
Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, according to UPS.

The thing that worries me is that at the time we ordered, JustDeals.com claimed the unit was OEM version but brand new. Now, they've doubled the price on the WEb site, and they say it's refurbished. So.... who the heck knows.

Yeah, I got it from JustDeals. I assume it's OEM not refurb, but it's difficult to know for sure. Bottom line, it works great (much better picture quality than the Express) and was a good deal for the money.

Well, I just got my order. A rundown:

* I ordered two cameras. Both are OEM. One is new and sealed, as promised, the other had been opened and obviously used quite a bit. Not happy.

* They both have the white bezel (the older, slower QuickCamp Pro version), even though the pic on the site when we ordered was of hte brown bezel.

* No UPC codes anyplace, as suspected, so no $30 rebates.

I'm not too optimistic about my chances exchanging this thing with JustDeals.com for what I actually ordered....
