Anyone tasted the new 7Up Plus? It has Splenda, 3 Carbs, Calcium, and Vitamin C. Now you can have carbonated beverages that are good for you.

Its alright tasting, a little bland, but nothing too bad. Its better when you're eating something. Has just a plain carbonated water after-taste.

lol, soda can't be healthy. Just because the put some asorbic acid inside of it (vitamin c) doesn't make it healthy.

Well it uses splenda as well.

Diet Rite...splenda, no caffeine and 0 carbs. Tasty too. C2 8 packs...yeah, ok.

Diet Rite is my favorite, drinking some now actually...anyway I tired the new 7up, nothing special, and dont be mislead by the "healthy" kick. As stated, soda will never be healthy....

I've tried Coke C2 and in my opinion it's pretty good...tastes very much like the regular Coke.
Pepsi Edge in my opinion was pretty nasty.
Diet Dr. Pepper taste very much like regular Dr. Pepper (just like the commercial says) and it's 0 Calories, 0 Carbs IIRC.

Guess I'll try this new 7Up Plus, but I think my quarrel is with Splenda....so we'll see.

Why not just drink water and save yourself money on drinking crap like soda! Many people recomend drinking half your body weight in ounces of water a day! (i.e. 180lb = 90 ounces)

Mt. Dew has a (small) amount of orange juice in it, at least according to the label, and my taste buds. (Unfortunately it can go bad as well, "bad dew" is definately not a good thing. Sometimes you have to watch your suppliers and consider how they store their stock.)

I woudn't read any scientific "claims" one way or another outside of a respected science journal, compete with full statistics including sample size, confidence interval, and p-values. People tend to get all giddy, when they are not under peer review. Drink your soda, better have that chloronated sugar than being obese, one might kill you the other will.

lol who cares about low carbs... not like everyone is on stupid atkins diet or diabetes
Have enough muffins, doughnuts, bagels, fries or pasta and chase them with non-diet soda, and you'll be "on diabetes" too. Don't forget some candy bars and popcorn. And three scoops of ice cream. 🙂

I used to hate diet sodas because of the aftertaste, but I can defiinitely live with diet Pepsi products now.

is splenda any better than aspartame?

I would say that it is definately better than aspartame. However, I'm not sure why more people don't use stevia as a sweetener (far better for you than any other sweetener). I think that in Japan, about 40% of soft drinks use it... and not a single consumer complaint (where as things like aspartame have tons of them...). Actually, I know why more people don't use stevia - it's a conspiracy. 🙂

We are twins, so what? 🙂

But really, why does it matter if they are packaging them in 12 oz cans?
