I was thinkin about jsut ordering the system then returning to the store and then buying it again just incase its not in stock, i lose out on shipping but its still cheap with the $50 rebate. It's a Lian Li PC 65 Aluminum. Has a side window and the various mods you can see. I can list other info if you need.

No Software Needed for NewQ

Does anyone know what volume you have to set the NewQ in order to get the same volume as before out of your speakers? What I mean is, say I have my volume knob on my speakers at a locked position (say 25% mark). What volume do I have to set the NewQ at to obtain the same volume as I did before I installed the NewQ? It starts out at something like 25 but that was way too soft. I moved it up to 40 and that seems right. Any ideas?

It's been my experience that companies handling their own rebates can be just as bad, if not worse, than the big rebate centers. The companies getted swamped because they don't realize how many rebates they are going to receive when they put on a sale at a nationwide retailer like CompUSA. They are also known to pull fast ones. There is no contact number on this rebate form. You have to email them at rebate@newq.com if you have rebate issues. Remember the Amazon vibrating mouse fiasco.

I bought this online a while back and it came with a 50 dollar mail in rebate on the box...

Anyway a couple things ive noticed from this... it only has a FM tuner, no AM not that im a big AM fan just kind of weird...

It mutes itself after a minute of no sound and turns completley off after a hour of no sound... this may sound like a good thing but I used to have AIM setup for a sound to play whenever someone signed on, now if the newq is off I won't hear the sound of them signing on, not a big deal though...

The station scanning for the FM radio seems way slow... takes forever to get to a station, good thing there are 30 preset's but if you unplug the unit it looses the preset information I believe... (it lost mine and I think it was from unplugging it, I dont want to loose them again so im not about to try again)

And finally I swear theres a little fan in the unit or something because it emits this low frequency fan like noise, I was going to open it up and see but didnt want to void the warranty so soon...

Anway those are just all the bad things ive noticed about the unit....

Not to worry guys, the rebates go to the industrial part of Norwalk which I live less than 3 minutes away from. I am waiting for the $50 rebate since Christmas. If nothing shows up for a couple more weeks, heads will be rolling

It's a baybus. The left switch in the up (red light) position provides 12V of power to my CPU fan. In the middle (no light), there is no power, AKA off. Switched down (green light) it provides an adjustable amount. Probably 7V? The second from left controls my rear exhaust. The two right switches are not used. But the 3rd one will turn on and off a cold cathode. Then I have one switch free.

This is one awsome deal I paid 60 for mine a few months back, and it isn't a platinum. Please somebody void their warrenty can it be taken apart and put on an internal bay?

no the rebate is stuck on the outside of the box and it is $50.

Yes, it is not a store specific rebate. You can buy it from Buy.com if you wanted and still get $50 off.

That's what I was afraid of! Is it possible that there are two batches of these and they have different rebate offers on them?
Maybe the $50-rebate box was an older batch, and now it's $20? Can someone else confirm (well, I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow)?
My store runs out everything fast, so I assume they have recently stocked items. But I suppose I can always use the PDF printout form if the UPC code hasn't changed...

It's just a graphic equalizer with a cool remote and FM tuner. I guess you can do the same thing if you have EAX or whatever and load up different enviroments.
