They're a decent set of speakers for surrounds. I finally got to really listen to them last night while watching the movie Collateral. They're crisp and provide decent mid's and good high's. Previously I bought a pair of R30 floorstanding speakers for my front surrounds that also act as LFE's because I don't have a sub hooked up. Now I'm waiting for a good deal on a center channel like a CSi3 or CSi5.

Are these only good as surrounds, or good enough as the two main speakers in a stereo setup?

And yes, deal is dead for now, they're up to $129 each! So, $25 each was one heck of a markdown! Right now the Polk deal at outpost is on the cherry R30s at $49 each, as posted in another thread.

aztech, i don't know anything about the R15's specifically, but i just got my R30's today and i am very pleased with these.

i'm not an audiophile by any means, but i think i'm fairly picky and would definitely recommend getting the R30's for fronts.
