Awesome day. All the CCs around here only had the box with the printed on sticker looking thing so the PM option was out the window. My nearby CUSA got some in, and I decided to pick one up. Lo and behold, everything checked out with the discussion on here. I am a owner of a new TI4200 128 8x baby. Anyway, for those still looking, it seems like the one w/o the sticker is almost 75% that you will get the 128 version. Gl everyone.

and i called PNY about this, and they are purposely putting 128s in there. in fact, the guy said they were supposed to include a letter saying you got a free upgrade, and he was surprised that neither of my boxes had this letter (and judging from thread, nobody else's did either :p)

Man, really? I wonder how it's gonna affect the price when it does happen. Makes you think, if this was a good deal or not.

THIS IS OT, but -- I only have a 250 watt PS and the PNY site makes mention of a 350 watt min .... Can I still use this card? So far no probs but what is worst case scenario?

yes if your mobo has proper voltage support and an AGP slot

kill the card..but should not be a problem with a decent 250w ..but as always YMMV

so is there any definitive way to make sure you'lll get the 128 card? People reported getting the 64m card in the box that doesn't have the sticker either. should I just look for the latest date on the sticker?

kevman,

you have a pretty good chance of getting it if it doesnt have the sticker thing. I think your chacnes are higher if you get it at COMPUSA and not PMing it from CC.

I bet they ran out of 64mb boards and trying to make up that sales, they're sacrificing the oversupply of 128mb boards. :)

Good for us! :)

Bummer bummer bummer!

None of the CUSA stores near me have it in stock. The closest one that "might" have it is 40 miles away. I even asked each store when they plan to get it in, and they had no answer.

I thought about ordering it online. Does anybody know when they get their shipments in? I guess I could just check every day, since there are still a few days left on the ad.

I wish I had caught this thread last week. Oh well. :(

Has anybody tried overclocking their cards?

I've been running mine at 260/540 with Riva Tuner the past couple of days with no problems, considering going higher.

I've been at 275/550 for a couple of days now with no trouble. Have not pushed it any higher, but odds are there's still some headroom there. A lot of the normal 64MB cards can aproach 300/600.

Thanks guys. I think I'll try the Southlake Store at lunch tomorrow. It appears to have them in stock as opposed to the Alpharetta store. And boy could those stores be any further apart.

Houston Superstore (Westheimer near Dairy Ashford) has a few of these left...friend of mine picked one up today. He had to badger the guys to look around the back and see if they had any without the sticker. After a few minutes the guy brought out 3 boxes, 2 of them didn't have stickers. My friend bought one of those and it had the 128mb card.

4. Went right to the cashier
5. Cashier price matched to CPUSA
6. Opened Box --------------> Sticker on side of anti-static bag GF4TI4200AGP8X 128M
7. $98 bucks out of the door! and no CrapUSA rebates to deal with

got one at CC today 128mg 8x , had to buy one from compusa first because CC & BB wouldn't PM it for me , gonna return the stickered one from compusa (thats all they had, didn't open it), $133 after PM or return the CC one and mail in the rebate I guess and wait. It took work to get one here without paying full price sometimes hot deals are hard deals!! lol

OK, got one at CC today, manager didn't want to PM the $99 price, would only do $139, so I just left. After a while I decided to go back and buy it anyway and PM later, it was the only one they had left and it didn't have the sticker so I thougt wat the hell I might at least se if it's the 8X 128 MB, if not no problem just return it, but at home I found a 8x 128 MB inside. So what should I do I have a ABIT Ti4200 64MB that does 315/690, if CC doesn't PM or only go to $139, should I just return it and keep my ABIT in or is it worth d the money even at $139.

Thanks Micael:confused:

Hey guys,

What are you guys using to overclock or get more information on the card itself? Also what are the best tests for these boards? And what programs?
