On the deal:

The only thing is I already have about $300.00 in outstanding rebates. SOme of them as old as 3 months. I'd just hate to be out another x times $40.00 in "will show up some day" rebate checks. mmmmm.... tempting... HOT! if you actually get the 100GB drives.... These are ATA/133 no?


I need a couple of bigger drives to Upgrade MY RAID0 Array, and the Rebate allows two per household......

/me just got $250 back in rebates yesterday...... thumbs Amex in angst.....

Everyone....

You may want to make a note of the fact that the original post was written in early December, 2002.

Western Digital may still have some generosity left, but as is usually the case, they've probably gotten back to reality.

If anyone orders these 80GB drives and still get's the 100GB drive instead, please post here to keep us all updated.
