This looks extremely suspicious! This is probably overall the best entry-level dSLR in the market today & the current going rate is $900+! That would make this a fantastic deal.

I would be interested in finding out what other folks think abnout the camera and Infiniti Photo. Just the fact it is in Brooklyn is not necessarily abd because a large number of camera places are in Brooklyn & I have had no trouble in the past.

$639 as listed here!
This post is to extol the virtues of ButterflyPhoto (with whom I have just done several hundred$$$ business).

I purchased a high-end digital SLR for my youngest daughter?s graduation and immediately realized that I had made a mistake as it would not arrive in time.

I called about 4pm (EDT), switched to overnight, and everything went perfectly.

They were about $100 less than the next best deal I could find on the camera & accessories.

ButterflyPhoto gets seven thumbs-up from me! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D (Even in Brooklyn)

RideFree's got it partially right - Butterfly's not a bad place to shop, though I personally prefer BH. The pricing is generally within a few dollars of each other, with the occasional $30 difference.

The part he doesn't have right is the product - the OP is talking about the Rebel XT, which is an 8 MP version of the one RideFree bought. Still a nice price for the original 6.3 MP Digital Rebel (which I own) but is NOT what they're selling the XT for.

As always, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. This is doubly true of camera shops with a NYNY address, with a few notable exceptions :p

Cheers!

A correction: Digital Rebel XT is actually EOS 350D which is listed as $863. The one you are referring to is EOS 300D for $639. The 300D is not a slouch either although 350D is the one to get! Just a heads up...

Dell had the deal last week for the XT for around $760 but there was an andditional $70 tax for my state. Not sure if the deal is still there but the thread was about the older version for $500 some odd dollars. I think that deal is dead now but not sure.
