Toshiba and WD tend to be pretty reliable compared to Seagate. I've lost one drive in 20 years to a failure and I've owned all brands. As long as you backup your data it won't matter if the drive dies except for the inconvenience.

Ok, well either way and I should have been more clear the link in the OP isn't to Newegg...

Code:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822149396

That's the link in the OP. It goes to Newegg, not serversupply. Lot of malware making the rounds, apparently.

Edit: Unless you are using a free AV, that rewrites online shopping links. One of the major ones does that.

Not exactly malware, but definitely questionable. You can opt out of viglink here:

http://www.viglink.com/opt-out/

Appears tapatalk uses it and some forum admins also use it. Just a note that none of my PCs had it, only my phone. I use Chrome as my browser so it isn't a setting that propagates like all other settings. More like a cookie.

Thanks that fixed my system.

I was going to say what ever "malware" this is, is in inthere deep, Nothing detected on malware bytes or my AV scanner.

Clicking the disable button does nothing. I've tried temporarily allowing all that page in Noscript, then again. What do I need to allow in order to opt out?

When I did it the text changes to "disabled" I then relaunched the browser and it was cleared up.
