Was at kmart xmas shopping this morning, found a whole bunch of farberware 64-piece tableware sets. None were marked with a price. Scanned the price at a pricing station, it rang up as $19.99. Walked out and paid for it.

SKU - 71551207071
Price - $19.99

This seems to be an incredible deal for a 64 piece set, as Farberware is an excellent brand, these dishes are thick and sturdy, not cheap looking. Could not find these online, only B&M

I just went to the store and bought a set for my recently knocked up sister in law. her and her Scottish Boyfriend just got thier masters... hers in spanish and his in Fine Arts.... sigh... Two higly educated people neither of whom have a chance in hexor of finding a well paying job....

anyway this'll be a good set to start them out on. They are white porcelain. Devoid of any design whatsoever and good quality. total price was 21.31 pretty good deal if you ask me.

Except when they're made in China, like everything else at Kmart. :)

I just bought 2 sets of these brownish stoneware dishes at Hecht's with a bluish tint for $90 - that was 2 sets of 4, and did not include napkin holders, bread plates or fruit cups! So, this is a heck of a price. The $90 that I paid was 50% off! This set was NOT fine china or anything like that. It _is_ cool looking.

But, that makes this set a killer deal. I would love to see a scanned pic of the set too because KMart is not so convenient and I typically avoid it and Walmart like the plague.

Awesome deal. Picked up two at the kmart in burbank, ca (they have a several left). Avoid the glendale store...madness (one lady ran her cart into another customer and then hit her).

It is of good quality. It's not fine china, but they are good settings (8 of 'em!!) for an unbelievable price. Thanks!

Um, yeah, The Chinese don't know porcelain? Um, you think its called *CHINA* for some other reason?
If these dishes are Chinese, even low quality, its good porcelain. Hell, they've been making the crap for thousands of years.

I was going to pick these up but as usual our local Kmart either doesn't have any or doesn't know where they are. They give you the " they haven't come in yet " speech, but there were probably only two for the whole store and are long gone.

Saw them today. Pretty crappy looking to me. Certainly NOT fine china.
Pretty ugly if you ask me.

Won't waste even $20.00 on them. I would rather pay more and have a
better looking set (even for everyday use).

What are you talking about...its just plain white and a simple design. I guess to each their own on what's pretty "crappy" for "20" bucks. I'm going to my k-mart tommorow to pick this up if I can...i'm a college student living on my own in my own apt and this would be killer!

Don't get regular dishware, get corelle dishware - its light, tough, hardly ever breaks, does not chip and lasts a lot longer. You can microwave it all day long. Here is a link to walmart.com, but its out of stock, just go your local store and check it out.

Maybe it's just me, but the corelle stuff just don't feel right to me. It seems like I'm eating on kids play dishes or something.

Corelle is scary... it is very difficult to break but for the love of God when it does it basically erupts into a million little glass-like shards. PITA to clean up!

Anyway, I think the Farberware is very simple and classic looking, I am not in the market for any but I like it.
