I think you can often do better buying from the TKTS booth in Times Square on the day of the show.

Attendance is down so there are lots of shows to choose from each day.
 
That's true but I prefer to be sure that I will actually get the show I want. I think those offers are awesome expecially combined with some good restaurant deals, too. Thanks for posting it.
 
I don't see how one would actually get a discount. I would like to buy tickets for a broadway musical, but I just get linked to ticketmaster.com.

I agree, I think it's safer to make sure you have tix before you go. Swinging Rent tix for $55 on a Fri night is a HOT DEAL! IMHO.

I'm going to wait until I get back to school, though because I think I can get student tickets cheaper.

Don't forget that Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane are leaving the cast of The Producers shortly. That's why tickets are starting to free up for later this year...
