This is by far the cheapest price I've seen for this superb flashlight. It runs on 1 CR123A battery for about 1.5 hours. It's totally adequate for any normal flashlight task. I have this light and highly recommend it.
CountyComm I've purchased from CountyComm and they are reliable. They are in Santa Clara, CA.

You would have to spend a lot of money to get a better flashlight than this one.

Yes. That is a nice flashlight. A LOT better than most of the other led flashlights posted lately. It's using a Luxeon III LED instea of the normal LEDs. It's also regulated so it pretty much goes full power for about ~40minutes before going dimmer, unlike unregulated flashlights that go dimmer every minute you use it. A good price too. Just remember to get batteries too.

I keep on wondering when Maglite is going to get with the 21st century and make an LED flashlight.

One would think law enforcement would want one - an LED flashlight could be used as a weapon - less propensity for breakage, and they could be made so bright that they could burn the retinas of criminals.

I have a mrbulk (from CPF) VIP that uses a 3 watt luxeon and a single CR123A cell... super bright (battery has lasted hours for me so far too), almost as bright the 5 watt luxeon(SNII) I bought from him that uses 6 AAs(which also eats batteries like no tomorrow)...

I doubt the led in this is as good of quality as the bins mrbulk gets his hands on but for 33+s&h it's worth a try...

That's why when you see cops using their maglites they hold it at the base of the head so that they can use it as a weapon if attacked.

Nice light...great review over at LED museum too.

For DestruyalUR, there are a number of LED mods for the maglite. The best one IMHO called "everLED". Here is a review of it at LED museum.

BTW, I am in no way affiliated with LED museum. They do provide fantastic reviews though.

EDIT: The light gets good reviews, but the price is not hot. Ebay has these brand new for $29.95 and a few other sites have them for prices similar to this one. Sorry OP, not hot.

Another E-bay seller $29.95 +$9.95 shipping USPS priority

Commercial site $31.99 + $7 shipping

All about the same price at the OP. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the links pyro. That first ebay link is nice because you can order several at once with cheap shipping. Cheap shipping is important when you find you want to return something. In this case, because the prices are so similar, I would go with countycomm because they have been around for a long time and they have a very good reputation.

This is the best flashlight you can buy for anywhere near $33. Many people have spent $150 to $200 for flashlights that aren't any better than this one. And not too many people know about this bargain. That's why it's HOT. And countycomm.com is a cool website.

In case you are interested in other flashlights or other unusual items also check out LAPoliceGear They have an excellent selection of flashlights.

This flashlight received a pretty good rating at flashlightreviews.com.

Link

Still have trouble convincing myself to buy a flashlight that uses CR123A batteries. I'd be much happier with one that took 3-4 rechargeable AAs.

The Sreamlight Jr. may be what you want. It's the same size as a Mini-Mag. It has a booster circuit so it can power a 1 watt Luxeon with only 2 AAs. People like it a lot.

Gerber has a 3 AA Luxeon model. That one doesn't need a circuit board.

The reason I was able to talk myself inot buying the Nuwai Q-III is because you don't usually need that much light, but sometimes it's really nice. The other thing is that I bought rechargeable batteries for $6 each along with a $12 charger.

My uncle is a cop and they don't issue mag lights anymore, can't remember the exact type of bulb it uses now but I ended up getting my Dad the same flashlight for a gift a year or so a go, cost around $100~, has a li-on batter and is much brighter and is a more natural light than LED flash lights.

Edit: its a xenon gas filled bi-pin bulb, and its a Streamlight Stinger flashlight.

I don't know what's so hot about LED flashlight. I know that they are brighter and they may last longer. But I have so many regular flashlights over the years that they may last me a life time. Maybe I will just wait til the bulbs on those flashlights burn out, then I will switch. By that time, all the LED flashlights will be as cheaper as the regular ones.

I currently have several mag lites.
