In my opinion these inflatable beds aren't comfortable.

I went to a fancy hotel about a year ago and they advertised the sleep number bed by select comfort.

Well we got the room with a king sleep number bed and dual controls... it was basically just a big air mattress, horrible to sleep on.

I don't have a clue about this one, but the Sleep number is advertised all over the place and it sucks.

That is a complete matter of opinion as I have had a Select Comfort bed for 7 years now and couldn't image sleeping on anything else on a nightly basis. Only bad thing about the bed is when you do go away sleeping on a normal mattress is rough.
 
To its defense, it is like the best air mattress ever made. But otherwise, I agree. I slept on a select comfort for a few days when I was staying at a friend's house (they had upgraded to a tempurpedic). I didn't see the appeal, but I know some people really like them.
 
For about 100$ you can buy a regular adjustable air matress of any size. I have one that I got from overstock.com it has the remote and everything. Another 100$ for a nice solid 3" memory foam topper and youve got a bed as good for half the cost. In this way Ive got myself a sleep number and Temperpedic all in one. Once youve got the sheets/blankets on nobody will know. I also skipped the expensive and uneven box spring and just used a sheet of plywood for the base. All flat and more supportive for the adjustable bed.

So a good price compared to other "adjustable beds" but more expensive than an adjustable mattress.

Actually we didn't. This isn't just memory foam, it's an adjustable mattress like the Select Comfort mattress.

also isn't there like a 10% added charge if you aren't a costco member?
