I've got 2x512 of the buffalo winbond ch-5 doing dual channel in my rig. They are rated CL2.5, but run fine at CL2.0
A nice deal, this buffalo ram. Probably won't OC as smoothly as Mushkin Level1 or Corsair XMS, but is pretty close,
from my experience.

I'm very satisfied with my purchase of it.

BTW, it's been said before, but bears repeating - NEWEGG RULES!

Right before Xmas I grabbed a stick for $36 shipped! I picked up another a few days later for $37 shipped.

I'm really happy with the ram. I'm doing DDR420 at Cas 2.5/3/3/11 on an AN35Nultra.
I use their 3700 in my P4 rig. Buffalo is the best ram going for the price.

EDIT: CH-5 link

Yes Pothead (MMMMmmm g13), you had the correct link. I was just reposting it. The model# clearly shows they are CH-5 sticks. The 512s are a great price also. I've just never felt like I needed more than 2x256.

About a week ago I received the 2x 256MB sticks of Buffalo PC3200 I ordered from Newegg. They were indeed CH-5. They didn't like ultra-tight timings, but they would do 215 @ 11-2-3-2. Also, approx 2 months ago I had ordered 2x 512MB sticks of Buffalo PC3200 from Newegg, and those too were CH-5.

Screw CH-5 and those slack timings!!!!

i'm actually not sure why this is such a hot deal they have been at this price for MONTHS!!! So I bet they are a little cool by now. The PC3700 with BH-5 on the other hand have been out of stock for months. That stuff fis GREAT RAM, though I have heard it is a bit hit or miss.

I'm confused. What's the difference between these two kinds of Buffalo PC3200 256MB memory at Newegg? Which one is the CH-5?

$42 variety

$49 variety

It appears the $49 variety is the CH-5 which was at the $38, based upon reading the reviews.
Not sure what the $42 variety is?

Just opened the 2 sticks I received today. They are definitely Winbond CH-5's, CL 2.5.
It is a shame they jumped up the price $11 each. Not sure why their price is jumping around so much?
