Hot! NEC Multisync 1765 17" LCD Monitor $229!

Just looked at some reviews of this monitor, doesn't have dvi connector but has 16 ms response time great for gaming! nice solution for a lan party LCD! Nice find!
 
This price is unbelievable!! I may have to bite, or make some friends to, it's only 400:1 Contrast Res,
but 16ms is nice, and i'm sure it does make a decent gaming screen, I too checked the Cnet reviews and very good reviews overall, i looked for a negative and it was invalid (someone got a defective SCREEN DUH), I didn't see much negativity, minus the missin DVI Inputs! I'm wonderin about that, can you get an adapter to make this HDTV compatible, or otherwise, an adapter that adds the ability to do whatever DVI does?

errr,uh good luck with that at OM. Never had anything in stock that was a great deal like this. I swear when you ask the employees just tell you its OOS and get it themselves.

Good luck finding this anywhere.. just went and checked for the whole area and no one had it. If you get it - good find!
 
I have the 1760vm and love it. It is supposed to be 25ms but I play all games on it with nothing but a more than perfect picture.
 
OM never has anything in stock, even before they advertise a sale they don't have the items they claim to have. Good Luck tho.
 
I got one. No UPC though. I am going back to get the Open-Box tag ( it was a display unit ). Don't know if the rebate will go thru'.
 
Called all OM stores in the Austin and Houston area. None of them had it.... life sucks... im going to go kill my self now...

Yeeehaw.

Well, I went into my OM, where after searching a bit, I realized that this monitor was the one that had a price of $450. I asked the guy to check the price, and he said $299, but they didn't have any MIRs on it. I said "great, I'll take it". He said, "well let me see if htey have it in stock". Turns out, they've only got the display. I said "can I get a discount since it's open box?" He said 10% off. $278 out the door, with a MIR of $70. I'm sitting pretty 🙂

P.S. Nashvillians, your only chance is a few other display ones. No other stores are showing stock, except for a few that still have the display.
