saw this at fatwallet. Didn't see anybody else post it here. from 5/9-5/15 staples is selling the MX Duo for 69.94-10 off instant coupon code for a grand total of 59.94... NO REBATES. I think this is a pretty sweet deal. MX Duo. If you have any other coupon codes it makes a great deal.. have fun!

heh my mistake. I didn't read past the first couple of posts in that thread. In either case, it's good to bring this deal as a main topic just so everybody knows. It's the best no-rebate price i've seen so far. Damndest thing is it's 1:30 am on 5/9 and it's still not registering the new price. GRRRR...must wait

How about PM to office depot? I believe there's a $10 off $30 coupon at office depot, but I haven't tried the code.

No lag, good for gaming. Well, as long as you keep the batteries charged up. As they get weaker, there is sometimes noticable lag.

Just got back from my local Staples this morning and there were plenty on the shelves. I don't know if it was just my copy, but for some reason there wasn't a Staples ad in my Seattle Times/PI this morning. Anyway, the shelves were full when I went in and one endcap wasn't even signed with the new price yet. Thanks for a $10 in store coupon my wife brought home from her office on Friday, I was out the door for $49.94 + tax.

I just bought this set a week ago (luckily with an employee discount @ BBY, so I didn't overspend), and it works flawlessly in games. I have been running the mouse on the first charge for at least 5 days now, and it hasn't drained yet.

There is the option of running this straight USB, or USB through PS/2 adapters - I chose the later for better BIOS compatibility (I play with my overclock settings a lot due to fluctuating temperatures in MN this time of year), and it is working perfect in BF:V.

Ooh - forgot to mention that you should definitely go to their website for an upgraded MX700 driver - the first game I played, the scroll button weapon selection went wacky (continuously scrolled). It was fixed when I loaded the new driver.

My local Staples manager always seems to deny coupons because of the "coupons applies to which no other instant savings applies" clause on the coupons. Luckily, my local Office Max manger has no problems with accepting them! I got my MX Duo for a total of $52.94, but I forgot that they pricematch with a 115% guarantee. If your local OM accepts Staples coupons, you could theoritically get this for $43.93 + tax!

Yeah, the extra $10 off with the coupon is a big YMMV, but I lucked out and got a young girl at the register that didn't read it close and just went ahead and scanned it, and the register wasn't programmed to catch the double discount.

This could also be a good deal if you have one of those $10 coupons OM sent out in the mail a few weeks ago, although I've personally found it hard to get my local OM to both pricematch 115% and give me the coupon. I've had the best luck with adding coupons to turn up the heat if I can either do them online or if I can sneak them in at the register, since they always seem to have the "valid with no other offers" in the fine print.

yea, its 800dpi and the first cordless mouse that actually works well for gaming:) previous cordless were about 50hz max refresh and half the dpi.

here's a hacked game driver thats sorta useful http://www.geocities.com/gpkgpk13/

i just set the buttons around the mousewheel to end/home useful for webpages and easily binds in games. i use the damned app switch button as f5 or refresh, more useful then default feature in my opinion.

I have a question...

I bought a logitech MX510 corded mouse for my laptop to use when playing at a friends place or in any instance where cordless mice might clash. According to logitech's website, the driver (v9.8) is only for the MX510. Now, I have an extra MX Duo that I would like to hook up to my laptop when I have it connected to my entertainment center, but I'm wondering if the 9.8 mouse driver will have any problems with an MX700 mouse (currently v9.79 driver). Anyone here use both and have an answer or should I get off my lazy ass and try it out myself?

It is not good for gaming...

I have a MX500 AND the Cordless Duo.

It's not easy to awp, and using AK and Colt is a little tough.

If you are a serious gamer, I do not recommend the DUO.

*edited
Actually, I do not recommend ANY wireless/cordless stuff for gaming.

I would disagree, jodhas. I have this combo, and I think it is superb. I am not a "hardcore" gamer, but have noticed no lag what so ever in BF1942 or other FPS games.

I have heard the non-MX is not so hot for gaming, and that the MX700 mouse is much more sensitive. I would try it out before discouraging others.
